My former neighbor in Ohio emailed me this solution and it sounds pretty good to me:
Instead of building a wall on the border with Mexico we should dig a huge moat, take the dirt/sand dug out to New Orleans and shore up the levees and remove the gators from Florida and put them in the moat.
