What's even worse is when you spot a figure in the distance, start the power walk to it only to have some kid, or worse off a known scalper grab it right before you get to it.
When it's a kid there's always a slim chance that they'll lose interest or mom and dad will veto the selection, so then you have to stalk them all through the store in fear that they'll ditch it in the baby stroller section instead of putting it back where it belongs.
Glasses may help ... but a telescope ... is to cumbersome, maybe I'll start carrying binoculars around!

we do that all the time to people all wal [img]biggrin.gif[/img] mart.
we like to take off our vests and grab shit right in front of people...
but before you think this is mean... especially when we do it to kids.. think of all the shit that they put us through
The thing I hate is when you call a store and ask "do you have??"(insert figure name here) They say yes, you get there and it's on hold for you...and the employee screws up the figure, and ends up holding something that they have buckets of everywhere, which you as a collector have already owned for 2 months. I've had that happen to me numerous times. It's the highest of highs only to hit the lowest of lows in a matter of seconds.
That happens to me all the time.
And I've had someone snatch a figure when I'm less than 10 feet from the figure and walking towards it.
we are supposed to tell you to come to the store... 85% of shopping is impulse... so even if you dont buy the toy, that we may or may not have, you will be very likely to buy something else
i generally dont follow this practice.. all the time... b/c then the customer gets really angry... but they always still buy something else...lol
