IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!

I am senile!!!!!!

For the past two weeks I have been calling all six of my kids, asking them if they took/or know where my two cup measureing cup is. Each, in turn, has answered NO! And no one knows what I did with it either!

Yesterday, while at Target's, I bought myself (to my husband's dismay) a NEW 2 cup measureing cup WITH contrasting markings on it for easier measureing......

This morning I am frying City Chicken for tonight's dinner and since they have to cook for hours to make them tender, I got my large pan out of the oven (that is where I keep it) and discovered my OLD 2 cup measureing cup in it! Now that couldn't have happened yesterday, thereby saving me the vast amount of money it cost us to replace it. No! It had to wait til today - so I now have two 2 cup measureing cups!

GL, I missed the cell phone story. Does it help to know that I have to call my cell phone to find it sometimes?

Greg - While I MIGHT give Katie my OLD one because I NEED the contrasting markings. She doesn't NEED them! But she can have my old one, if she even wants it.

And, yes, GL, I remember - BUT you were under a lot of stress then. I have no such excuse. Except that I am senile!

On the day I got word I had to evacuate for Hurricane Charley I thought I had left it in my restroom stall at work when I changed clothes. It's professional casual here at work but not casual enough for me when I leave here and it's 100* in the shade. So I get home (work in Tampa and live across the bay in Pinellas Park) and can't find my phone anywhere and assumed I left it here in my office tower. I drove all the way back over to get it and it wasn't there. I had it shut off and bought a new one the following week for $140. (after having tried to get my old cell phone from Ohio programmed and it just wouldn't work. Verizon technician told me if it doesn't have global tracking technology in it, and I bought it in June 2001, they are not allowed to program it. Big Brother and all that...) So the following Saturday I get out my beach bag to go to the pool and voila, it was in there the whole time. I had gone to the beach the night before we had to evacuate and left it in there. Funny how one's mind plays tricks on them. I was certain I left it in the stall when I changed because I always set it on the shelf and then clip it to my belt after changing. And I never even had it with me that day....so I returned the new one for a full refund and had my old one I thought had been lost turned back on.
