don't forget the evaporator. that's another 10 lbs or so. you can order a duct to replace it. or just take the core out and reuse the case halves for the fan ducts.

i tried that and could not handle the heat so i put it back.
Its too hot here in texas to live w/out AC. Plus Im only a heavy 125lbs so my car isnt very heavy even with me in it. LOL

I am pulling my AC out today. Due to the fact that the line broke of the condinsor so i have no refridgerant in it at all and the belt isnt even connected to it. MacGever, you've gotten to get that filter out of the engine compartment (make some kind of heatshielf or something)...that exhaust heat is killing you...
BTW, what exactly is the function of the evaporator?
