The Best Anti Drug Commercial ever made is on TV these days.
It's about "Stacey". The commerical recounts all of the people who make it possible for Stacey to have her stash. It's told via a young girls voice.
"This is the "John" who supplies Stacy with her stash", (a shot of a pleased Stacy) ....
"This is the Dealer who sells "John" Stacy's stash"
"This is the Supplier who Supplies the Dealer with the stash that John buys to sell to Stacy"
"This is the little girl who was paralyzed by a stray bullet from the gun of a drug deal gone bad by Stacy's dealer"
...cut to Stacy looking shocked.
What's amazing about this commercial is the linking of violence and the end product. Can such social responsibility statements for legal products be far behind? [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

It's a throwback to Nancy Regan "just say no" commercials, but without realizing they never worked in the first place. Supply & demand says the 'war' is gonna fail worse than the Vietnam conflict.

Pot is a dangerous drug because it appears to not be dangerous.
It causes loss of memory, binge eating, and, increased dependence on it as time goes on. I suppose we all use different things in life as a form of a drug.
My point to this topic post was the linking of the supplyline with the consequences in a commercial is a great thing, as it begins to tear down the mythic view of the world that American Advertisers, and Advertisers in general, heap upon the public.
