i've considered gettin my tongue split.. many many times.. i wanna get my ears tapered at the top, too.. lol.. but.. i have to wait.. till after i get my piercings back... *had over 40..
I dont really think tongue splitting is cool. I think it's actually, very stupid and retarded.

it's as if you're looking at someone who's horribly deformed at that spot, but they love to show it too.
I guess i'm used to normal tongues, but seeing those split ones gave me the shivers.

Honestly, have never had problems arise because of having a big tattoo on the back of my left hand for the last 3 years, but it does limit peoples first-impressions. (1 - ex-con, believing a crop-circle design to be some kinda secret hate-group symbol. 2 - if wearing a longsleeved shirt, expect my ENTIRE body is covered in ink too, therefore many people believe I'm a tattoo artist myself.)
Actually, found a 'temporary' body-modification got a lot more attention than the hand-tat. It was just a simple lobe-tunnel, about 00-gague (half-inch thick for those who don't know gague's, had a jewler friend make the pipe from a piece of surgical-stainless) which would always flip-out black people because they don't have the balls to do what their ancient ancestors did. Hell, had the lobe-tunnel for about 9-years, but it shrank back down to 'almost' unnoticable size a month after removing the tube.

Hmmm, i sort of liked those implants, not that they were that pretty, but they had .. well.. a style to them i guess.
Wonder if you could implant little non-toxic (and it shouldn't get your immune system going) balloons or translucent small basins that would all be connected to a little pipe and a reservoir hidden somewhere, so you could.. sort of .. blow them up.

Yea, it was just an ear lobe enlargement. From a regular healed post in your ear, squeeze something slightly larger in every couple of days.
Start with one, slowly put a buncha earrings in at the same time. From there, try toothpick pieces, then cut-down pieces from paint-brushes. Saw little chunks from ballpoint-pens & magic-markers, and in a month or two your earlobe'll be wide enough to stick your finger through.
