MTV is BULLSHIT

IT'S FUCKING <H1>BULLSHIT!!</h1>

MTV is probably the most censored station in the world. LITERALLY. and i mean the censoring is so gay, along with the usual words, they censor words like "pistol". as though you can't figure it out and like that'll solve any sort of firearm problems.

and that's not my only bitch about it. it also actively encourages sheep mentality. i mean it has shows which it acts as fairy godmother and makes you into a model/singer/sportsperson whatever you want except it does it by changing everything about you and making you act the way that is the norm in that world and generally keeping you in check. is this not mindfucking??

and then there's the shows that transform you into your favourite singer. i remember seeing one about some girl turning into PINK. now i always imagined that PINK, was trying to say that you should be yourself (and all that usual bullshit) but then this girl gets everything about her changed to look like a paltry version of her. Is there not something seriously SICK AND DISTURBING about this????? (and not even that there is a PINK clone, but the fact that they encourage popstar clones).

this station actively condescends to their viewers and consequently in a viscious cirlcle, the people watching this TV are getting progressively dumber and now, the term "MTV generation" is a general derrogotory term meaning for people with small brains and even smaller attention spans.

and! and! and! it completely encourages materialism by having those stupid tours of rich people's houses with all their fancy gadgets and wanky cars. So all in all, it is a TV show which has always been laudered as revolutionary and influential just completely towing the party line of society. ie. be materialistic. stay in line. be sheep.

That's why i don't watch tv anymore. That and because i have none.

I stopped watching MTV a long time ago because it sucks since they took away Head Bangers Ball....

Now I watch VH1.... but thats because I am getting old I think...LMAO!!!!

i watch ESPN....and Law & Order when it comes on. I like the Food network too, but I don't get it anymore here in Conway

i stopped watching MTV when... well i don't really
remember. my mother is a big MTV fan (for some
reason) and i KNEW it started going down hill
when they had REMOTE CONTROL.

bah... i could go on.... but SF did the best part already.

I used to watch it when it first hit cable (what was that, 1984?) Remember that? When they only had like 10 videos repeating over & over all day (Mexican Radio, Video Killed The Radio Star, For Those About To Rock...), except every couple of hours they'd go off-air for these 15-minute spans & play some hand colored cut-out animated advertisement about how cool they were.

I haven't watched Mtv since they took the Liquid Television program off. That one animated compilation program was the only thing that brought me in.

Currently, if in the mood for music videos, will watch FUSE-TV. I've never turned Fuse on where it WASN'T playing some heavy pop-punk/speed metal/thrashDeath/Noise. So far as I've seen, they don't have any crappy "original programs" like Reel World or the mind-numbing Osbournes.

OMG Liquid TV's show Aeon Flux (I think thats what it was called) was bad ass....
