Oooo, now I really want to go to Canada.
Hope y'all enjoyed your day.
Now now...wrap Jadian and Jely BOTH in that flag...well, then we'd have something...
so is like canada day like the 4th of july for ...um...canada?
Yes. It is get drunk and have a day off work to watch fireworks Day.
We REALLY need Jely around, apparently. Although she may be hard at work getting trashed, if she's any kind of canadian at all!
Also, tomorrow we find out if my city got the 2010 Olympics. personally I am against them. As one person put it "The Olympics are like Gordon Campbell behind the wheel of an SUV: irrational, dangerous, out of control, something few people can afford that the rest of us have to pay for."
Campbell is the MP of my province; he was arrested in the states last year for drunk driving. he was double over the limit, when walking becomes a problem, and he didn't step down despite huge public outcry. He's busy cutting every single social program we have up here, and the teachers, parents, doctors, nurses, social workers, welfare recipients, families, first nations, and women all hate his ass. Boo!
Oh well. canada is still a great country. I invite you all up here to party!
Happy Canada Day to our northern friends. :)

The olympics: the white elephant of international sports. I wouldn't worry too much. I think Utah survived. Mostly.
Vancouver won.
....dammit.
I'm going to shot paintballs at the revelers and go volunteer at homeless shelter.
