AVP Figures...

alright, so...i haven't seent he movie yet, but i've been debating getting some of the figures since we got them in at work. i wanted some of the predators, but once i found out that the helmets were not removeable, i was quite discouraged. the aliens look pretty cool, but their lack of articulation is rather discouraging as well. so i ask those of you who have them...are they worth picking up? which are best? i'm going to see the movie soon with my free ticket, and hopefully that will help make up my mind. just wondering what everyone here thought...

Are they worth getting?

Yeah, absolutely.

Despite some quality problems, I believe they're the best Alien/Predator figures from McFarlane to date.

glue the Pred ankles (if you dont miss a little more posability) and the Pred's are super-sweet hunks of plastic [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

as cool as the preds look, the non-removeable helmets is such a turn off. i LOVE toys with removeable masks, and helmets...thus they were a big letdown for me :/

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree. the A & P boxed set from MM5 is still the best. The only alien & pred that I own. I did see the 12" versions of both of those recently & they do look tempting...

I'm looking forward to my order to be sure. I have heard about some loose joints etc..Well like Toymank said, that's what a dab of glue is for. I finally had to do that with my Abe Sapien figures. Overall, though they add to certain posability, I find ankle joints on many figures to be more trouble than they're worth.

eh...i'm sure i'll break down eventually and buy one alien and one predator...but which ooooooones?! heh

I cant wait to get them. dont even mind if there are a few flaws with them. I would like the mask to be removable, but with the ones from the MM line with removable I can let it slide on these

Personally, I like that they don't have removeable masks.

They don't look as poor-fitting as the MM6 Predator's mask... or so I think.
