I am seriously considering opening up a online comic book store.
Thoughts?
To start with I won't be able to afford carrying everything. Obviously I would have to carry the major companies. What Indys would you guys like to see?
If you were to order online what types of things would you like to see. Comics, Prints, Statues, T-Shirts, Specialty Items, etc... I don't expect anyone to order once I have it up. Assuming I don't chicken out! But if anyone was willing to give me feedback, I would appriciate it.
Thanks gang.

Hi AsIs,
I'm not a real big comic person, but I've been known to get action figures and I would certainly buy the B5 Graphic novel from you if you were able to get them (when's it coming out anyway?). Possibly even the other new stuff JMS is working on, although the Spiderman doesn't really do it for me.

I would need to think about this. I am not likely to shop online, I missed my comic book store last year...
Most comic book stores offer the same stuff, I would think one of the best ways to differentiate yourself would be to sell many indy books. No idea what titles but Oni is an obvious choice. What company puts out Boneyard? Their stuff is pretty good.

I think Boneyard is put out by CBM. I will be featuring several indies online. To start I will do the more popular and well known comics. Oni, Slave Labor Graphics and Crossgen are three that I will definately carry. Plus others that appear popular or that I develop relationships with.
As time goes on, I will add any titles people request.

Hi Asis! Well, I dont usually buy comics either, But if you start selling the JMS stuff, like Spider Man and Midnight Nation...etc...I would be intersted. As others have indicatied, perhaps some action figures. Hmmm

I'll definately stock JMS graphic novels (comics in thier collected form) while they are available, which should be for some time.
I'll also be carrying action figures and statues that are solicted by Previews, the comics distributor. As time goes on and I see what sells, I will branch out in those directions. Basically if you see something, you can reserve it and when it comes out we will ship it.

I'll check on that Nommy. I don't think it will be a problem.
