I believe today marks the 11th year since Jeff passed away. Doesn't seem possible.

I remember driving to work when I got the call. I just about crashed off the Santa Monica freeway... that day will forever be etched in my brain. I'm so glad we have TONS of great Jeff material to listen, study, and admire. His groove is unmatched.

I just played a gig this past weekend and we played "Song For Katie" by Larry Carlton. Jeff's groove and feel is impossible. It sounds so simple, until you play it and realize what you're playing doesn't feel anywhere as good as Jeff's simple groove.

ive been reading a lot about Jeff's nice groove here in HOD, but did not check him out until recently... i got a Rossana mp3 from drummr wrld.

he has a great high hat technique and real smooth groove...

are there any other songs that he did with that great feel (or drum solos), where can i get downloads?

I opened up an issue of Billboard magazine and about cried like a little baby when I saw the tribute page for Jeff - a full page with just a single drumstick... [img]frown.gif[/img]

Goosebumps galore listening to the brushes that Vinnie fanned across the mic's at the end of the Porcaro tribute, as well.
