I interviewed for a "promotion" a few weeks ago, and it was a sure lock for me. EVERYONE here at work said I was the frontrunner for it and I come to find out that the position isn't listed anymore on the job board :-( and since I haven't heard anything yet I guess I didn't get that damn position. I hate it when shit like this happens - I get depressed and wonder wtf did I do wrong or what am I not doing to better myself. Sorry guyz and galz I'm just ranting cuz I really don't have anyone here at work who understands what I'm going through - I'm working in the warehouse with a bunch of ppl that have no goals for their life- LOL - I'm at a point in my life where everything is going wrong- and now I'm left with wondering if I've been the problem all along all these years with previous relationships, jobs, family, etc. Why do I feel this way? Is this normal?

Go to the Doctor and ask for some PAXEL

that actually made me laugh LOL - but in all seriousness ppl - I feel like I'm in one of them teen angst korn / staind videos or worse yet one of them seventh heaven episodes - the trials and tribulations of pris - I hate feeling this way come on I'm 30 years old I should be established in a job by now hahah - jeez maybe I should get some paxel -
-
It might be you then. LOL!
J/K....seriously, I think everyone feels that way from time to time. Too bad about the promotion, though. Just find out who got it, and have them killed.....then the job will be yours. Simple.

hey, just because you are 30 doesn't mean you have to be established in anything yet. you have a lot of time ahead of you for that. just enjoy life with what you are doing. always remember that for every person that has it 'better' than you (though i think people judge 'better' the wrong way) there are at least 10 that have it worse than you. life can always be worse. i know alot of people that spent their time striving to better themselves only to realize they were happier before.
it's friday, go out and have a good time tonight. red bull and orange vodka always does the trick for me.
-
Or yeah, Bill's advice would work too.

RED BULL & VODKA - never tried that - hmm maybe I will tonight - does that mean thats whats on the menu for when u come down bill? ya sorry for doing the "woah is me selfish" dance- I'm coming to a point in my life where I feel like maybe computers just isn't in the future for me, and why am I realizing this after all these frikkin years of studying this crap if it really isn't going to get me nowhere in life- so if anything I'm just bitching LOL -
-
That?s on the menu and much more sprink. The good thing about red bull and vodka is that it f**ks you up pretty good yet you are wired from drinking the red bull. Some people put jaegermister in it instead of vodka but I get all types of stupid on jaeger.
as for computers....they suck.

Hey Pris I can totally relate to finding yourself on the corner of Shit and Nowhere and trying to figure out how you got there.I had full time Rock Star dillusions until I was 23,I had never really had a "real" job for any length of time and came to an almost devastating revelation that David Geffen was not waiting to find me.
So I got a "real" job and got promotion after promotion until I was making really good money.I could at least justify not playing music full time because I was raking in some major cash and I knew I wouldn't make much money touring(been there, done that). All was well I guess until September 11, 2001 The economy takes a major hit and my company informs me I will be getting a paycut of $20,000 grand a year plus incentives and bonuses which had been $10,000 the previous year.So for all intents and purposes $30,000 or so.Well needless to say I was offended and quit my job immediately. It took me 2 months to find another job and when I did it was at slightly more than I was going to be docked down to at my previous job.Oh and it was the worst job in the world. The company president made Hitler look like a nice guy,I've never really been mean spirited but there was at least 3 people at this company that I wished would die in there sleep.Well anyway I was there for about 14 months and I was shocked although slightly relieved when I was fired for no reason other than to save the company money. This time I was out of work for four months and could not find a job for the life of me.I ended up going back to the company in which I quit nearly 2 years earlier but at nearly $20,000 less than the job I just got fired from.Bottom Line I'm making nearly $50,000 a year less than I was making just 2 years ago and I have a kid now that is just over a year old.So my expenses have went up dramatically while my income has gone done even more. Now I've hit depression pretty hard over the last couple of years but over the last couple of months I've finally found some peace. Here's how...I quit caring about what is out of my control. If I'm meant to be broke so be it.There are much worse things in life than having a shitty job. When Brian (Orphan Punks drummer) died,I felt like such an Idiot that I was stressing over my income while he was fighting a battle for his life that he would ultimately lose.I was stressing over how I could afford a kid rather than being thankfull that he was completly healthy.Long story short life ebbs and flows and you have no other choices but to roll with it or drown in it.Life is what happens while you are making other plans.OK I'm getting off the soap box now.
