Heh, I would just like to point out that the 2003 SF Giants are the first team in baseball history to hold the division title from the first day of the season until the last day of the season in BASEBALL HISTORY! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
I thought the Dodgers were in first for a while this year...ah well...
And I believe it's a CUBS preogative to choke in first rounds...how about letting us have our turn...? [img]tongue.gif[/img]
So my friends mom gave me two tickets to todays As game against Seattle. First I called my brother to see if he wanted to go. We haven't been to a game together all season. He tells me he's painting his living room. Can you believe that? Boy needs to get his priorities straight.
Couldn't find anyone else to go on such short notice, but I did scalp the extra ticket for just enough money to get a beer and a hot dog. Score!
Of course the As got thoroughly stomped by the Mariners. That bastard Ichiro had 5 RBIs all by himself.

ATLANTA F'N BRAVES.
You wanna talk about choking, you talk about MY team.. ya know, the only ones to win 12 STRAIGHT divison titles, the team that OWNS Houston in the playoffs, the team that makes losing the Series look EASY. You know, my team.
But I do say we have a good chance at whipping some ass this year in the playoffs. My prediction... Braves and A's... Braves in 3-1/2.
I think the As are just playing around with the Mariners right now to let them get their hopes up. That way when the knock them out of playoff contention it'll be in their own stadium. So their fans can experience the disappointment in person. :)
