Did ya see that fan that messed up the catch...Yeah right.
The media was only showing one angle of the play.
Tonight they showd another angle...which showed that the player would of never caught it.
The footage the media showed looked as if maybe he had a chance...but and the new angle they slowed it down and the ball was now where near his glove...probably about 30 inches away.
Oh well we'll try agin in 19 years.

Yeah Ash, though I loath the Cubs, I feel bad for you folk that are true fans. In the comfort of my home last night, all by myself, I was dancing up a storm. But I really do feel sorry for the Cub fans that don't deserve to have their hearts crushed. Maybe since the Sox didn't make it in, the Cubs weren't meant to. I really think that when one of them gets to the Series, it should be both of them to settle this whole dang argument for good!
So, come on over and join Lycan and I on the couch, the Yanks/Sox game starts in a bit, I got some GREAT beers in the fridge, and we will all cheer on the good guys!
The Billy Goat Tavern guys needed to make a trip to Florida, as they did to Houston.
In a twisted way this actually makes me more excited about next season.I can see the Cubs opening up the purse a little more after setting attendance records this season and getting so close.I never expected them to get this far this year but figured they are a couple years away.It was fun while it lasted but I never really expected a World Series birth...I mean they are the Cubs after all.I do hope the Red Sox can hold the lead for another inning so I have someone to cheer for in the Series.

I never said I expected a short trip. The Cubs have never opened the pocket book to any real extent.I have been a Cub fan for over 20 years and I've never felt that they were a player or two away. What I'm saying is that since the Tribune Company was reminded that winning baseball makes more money than losing baseball,I expect them to spend the money to put a competitive team around thier young pitching. You can't really compare the Giants and Cubs because the Giants have been playing competitive baseball more often than not for years.I understand that The Giants haven't got the trophy in quite some time but the plight of a Cubs fan is completely different. We want a team that will compete every year not 4 playoff appearances in 20 plus years.
How many Giants fans are thankful thier team competes every year? That may not be good enough any more but it would be for me ...for a while anyway.

Oddly enough, I think the only other baseball fan out there that understand the plight of the Cub fan is the White Sox fan.
Yeah Carl that is actually pretty accurate, odd as it seems.

They didn't win the game and won't win this game....go Yanks!!! lol Also, Ash, might I remind you of the last few times that the Cubs were just a player or two away and dropped $$$ on peeps named Vance Law, Dave Smith, and others? One thing I've learned, as a Giant fan, and you'd do well to heed, is don't EVER believe that they're on the road to the Championship until they're hoisting the trophy over their heads.
