I saw Stryper last night in Nashville, they packed this club they played in to capacity (which is 1000 or more)
They put on a great show, I'd never seen them before and i have to say this is probably one of if not the best shows i've ever seen. I got to shake Robert Sweet's hand which was also great.
They are definately the best at what they do. Hope they stay together after this tour is over, I'll be gettin the new Live album as well .
Overall was just a great show with some great music and a good message .
Sorry if that sucked i'm still kinda pumped about this.

Hey, did Robert do a drum solo? how was it? I remember seeing them back in the day and his drum solo blew me away and i loath drum solos, they are nothing but a big waste of time. i don't pay good money to go see someone just sit there and make noise on the drumkit, same with guitar solos, but back to the topic, his was awesome. he had two kits set up, one facing the right side of the stage and one facing the left side. they were connected with floor toms and during songs he would do a roll right around and continue the song on the other kit. during his solo he was just going crazy with double bass and grabbed the drum rack and stood up without missing a beat. if the kit wasn't sideways and i couldn't see his feet i wouldn't believe it. that?s what hooked me, i'm for showmanship. same with rikki rocket, anyone who can hold sticks can play like rikki but only rikki can put on a show like rikki. i think the theory behind drum solos back then was just the whole compensation theory. you know, the BIG truck theory.
wow, did i ramble off topic or what.

Robert did a short drum solo it was awesome his entire performance was great. He is one great drummer and i am happy now i got to shake his hand.
He was playing with a hat over his face to there was no way he coulda seen the drum set and didn't miss a beat.

Do they get real preachy, or do they just show up to rock?
And do you feel saved?
-
They still get kinda preachy. When I went, I felt like I was at a revival. It was the closest thing to church I had been to in like five years, and my evil demon heathen soul just couldn't take it. lol

LMFAO@Punki...
I was gonna go here in Houston Tx...and the Engine room...near the woodlands area, but I decided not to...cuz I wasn't in the mood to be preached at...haha.
-
It was actually a really good show. I was impressed. Although they didn't play "Always There For You" which bummed me out...they played "Winter Wonderland" instead...in mid-October...

Well I don't mind the preachiness..but when ya got someone preaching atcha that behind closed doors they are their own worst enemy...then I could care less for being preached at.
-
Well, I'm sure they were sincere with what they said . I mean no ones perfect and they evewn said they weren't.
It's not like they were forcing it on anyone.
