I hope Kristy is OK...but in response to everything you've just said, life can be a bitch. I'm back on crutches, into the painkillers again, getting ready for another surgeon's appt...and I'm wondering why there as to be illness around too. I'm older then Kristy and god knows, there's plenty of worse conditions around than what I was handed, but I hear what you are saying loud and clear at the moment. Hope Kristy is OK, as are Nicky and hubby...AND YOU - YOU LOOK AFTER YOURSELF TOO!

I don't understand it either hon... not one bit of it.

Don't ever apologize for needing to vent like this. I'm just glad you feel you can do that here. I wish there was something more I can do for you and for Kristy, but please know that you are both (and the rest of your family too) in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that Kristy is unwell. Childhood illnesses are sometimes very nasty. I had whooping cough when i was little and that was murder for my mum and dad. I hope she gets better really soon. Feel free to vent, we are always here for you

Pnut I'm so sorry to hear you're not good again, hope the appt at the surgeons goes ok and that they can do something to help you feel more comfortable very soon!!

Kristy is doing ok and managed to return to school today. She is rather tired and still coughing (always worse late afternoon and evening), but much better. She gave us a nasty scare on Saturday night. We took her to hospital at 11.30 p.m. because she was having trouble breathing and medication at home was not helping. They admitted her and their treatment worked quickly, she settled and we came home the next day. The infection was enough on it's own but she also has asthma and it flared up badly. It is the first time I have seen her scared, I was too but couldn't show it of course. This all happened the same day I had earlier read that a 21 yo had lost her battle on one of the cf lists.....so young [img]frown.gif[/img]

I was just having one of those "why the hell does she have to have this" moments...feeling angry etc, it happens from time to time.

Barb, I'm so sorry Kristy has had this relapse. I hope now she's been treated at the hospital that her breathing is better and they've got it under control again. Life is very unfair sometimes I agree [img]frown.gif[/img]

Pnut, sorry to hear you're back on crutches again. Hope you get your hospital appt very soon and that they can sort you out too [img]smile.gif[/img]

All doing much better! The extra doses of medication have finally taken effect and Kristy has really improved..breathes huge sigh of relief.

We're heading off for a three day break now to the Riverland (approx 2 hours away...with doctors blessing). It is rather warm here atm high 20's low 30's, so we're looking forward to it, there is a pool where we're staying. Oh and Terry we're heading to 'Banrock Station'.....home of some lovely wine (you bought some I recall) and I might even indulge in one glass this time, lol [img]smile.gif[/img]

Also wonders how Pnut is doing?
