But really - weren't they both spent,
2 or 3 albums into their career?
Never seen Crue live, but saw Poison on
the Native Tongue Tour (a couple of weeks
before Kotzen was kicked off the bus?).
Bret had so much foundation on, he looked
silver - he looked like the Tin Man from
Wizard of Oz. Rather disturbing really,
but funny.

never saw Crue live. Saw poison for the first time a couple of years ago but I went to see Cinderella and Fasterpussycat(Hollyweird tour, btw,Hollyweird was an awful C.D.) we have most all C.D.s from both artisits. Lately,I'd say within the past year,I find myself listening more to Motley. It's more hard edged and I've always gone in for that sort of music more so than the poppier stuff(which I do love, don't get me wrong)If you're talking rock n roll,I'd say Motley. If you're talking fun, catchy music,Poison. I'd still rather listen to either one of them over the new stuff I'm hearing today. I really do TRY to listen to whats being put out there today, but I always go back to my old standards.
Oh,to answer your question if I REALLY have to choose: Motley crue, music only.

Motley Crue were interesting for about 20
minutes around the time of Generation Swine,
Tommy's Boom Banga Banga, drums of
nonsense single and the Shout and the Devil
remix - than it all fell apart again. Until,
that is, BOD, which I think is really exciting.
The Quicktime on their shitty server, though,
is completely fucked: erase the url (of the
recently linked to BOD video) slightly
and you'll find childrens photos and all sorts
of Joe Schmoe rubbish.

I havent heard BOD. I'm prob the only one here who hasn't, but I'm going to make an effort t hear it. I have a very shitty ISP so their shitty server would probably not even load here.

Crue wins!
Poison's debut was a true classic! The 2nd I only liked about half of, a couple of songs off the 3rd. Lost interest after those.
CC's song "I Hate Every Bone..." from "Power To The People" was an amazing song though!!
I've liked pretty much very Crue album, "Theatre..." does have a lot of weak moments though.
