Hurricane Prediction

Tropical Storm Chris has just formed in the Atlantic/Carribean. It is on a track to come this way. Last night I dreamt that a tropical storm formed in that same spot and after coming across the state as just a storm it rapidly intensifies into a hurricane near the Big Bend of Florida after entering the Gulf of Mexico and slams into the panhandle around Pensacola/Panama City. Last night on the news it had not formed yet. But in my dream I could clearly see our local weather guy on Fox 13 describing how it rapidly intensified once it got into the Gulf and was unique in how it formed. We shall see...

I'll be eager to follow the red dotted lines.

Emily and I love tracking the hurricanes and tropical storms on it. Katie thinks we're weird.

No, and I didn't even stay up to watch the weather. But it was as vivid as if I were watching a weather newscast. I emailed the local weather guy (that I always watch) about it. We shall see... I predicted Katrina to my cousin way before it happened. I didn't name the storm but I had told her the worst storm in US hitory and flooding was going to be the major impact. Before Katrina hit I must have dreamt about serious floods inundating a city (didn't know what city but it had old buildings in it and narrow streets) for months, probably 10 dreams about a major flood.

Hasnt started out too big, but most of the weather persons (meteorologists) are predicting a very active hurricane season.

Well I was way off on this one apparently: it seems to be falling apart as it progresses west. I wouldn't mind one going by in the Gulf, so long as it doesn't come ashore. Some of my best shell finds are right after one goes by. Ivan in 2004 really started me on shell collecting. The shells I found after it went by pretty much triggered my current obsession. My brother tells me I don't just rape the beaches I'm a serial rapist. I was looking at my shells one evening and laughed and told him "If an old man with a beard and trident shows up here looking for me, I'm not home..." and my brother said "Oh no, I'm telling him right where to find you!" I probably have over a million shells now. Some of my neatest looking ones are Crown Royale bottles filled with bright coquinas. If only I could sell them for $1 a piece....
