Is this flaming?

First of all, please take this seriously.

If you can, please read this thread page; particularly, the posts by OCB and Wiseman.

After reading it, and only if you have read it, please vote whether you think my last post on the subject, i.e. the one posted on March 04, 2004 05:45 PM, was a flame against OCB.

I'll run this poll for three days (more if OCB thinks 3 aren't enough), then decide whether I have to mod it or not based on the board's opinion.

Please do not vote if you haven't read all of it.

Maybe we should do a follow up poll. People seem to be going your way. Does this mean people think i'm a terrorist, or pro-terrorist?

I still yet have to vote. Politics has never been my field of interest...

However, I propose a new way to do this: people should post instead, stating who they are in favour of and then state WHY s/he said yes or no in more than one sentence (no, one word answer/sentences don't count here). I think that's fair to both Wiseman and OCB.

i dont think it was flaming, nor is OCB pro--terrorist or a terrorist...he simply stated his opinion, and here's nothing wrong with doing that...just because the majority of people disagreed with him or opposed him, and said so, does not mean he is being flamed...

What the hell? Terrorism consists of killing people. I don't want people to die. How can i support terrorism with a view like that?!

I suggested that, in some situations, they should give into terrorist demands to prevent people from being killed.

Where the hell is the link to that being pro-terrorist?!

I don't think it's flaming and I don't think OCB is pro-terrorist, nor a terrorist himself.

Well, you don't want people to be killed, but you want to give terrorists what they want, which legitimates (and would encourage) terrorism as a mean to get what you want. So if I want say, $10000, all I need to do is to kill 2 people, then say I'll kill some more if I don't get my $10000, you would gladly hand over the money. The world would be full of terrorism this way. That's why I said what I said and I think what I think.

I beleive i mentioned the case by case basis.

Even so, I want terrorists' heads rolling on the floor.

Anyway, i'm gonna drop this now. You can still reply to the PM if you want. I'm still offended at being accused of pro-terrorist statements, but when it comes down to it, the personalities we display here are completly different to us in RL. I would probably freeze in a terrorist situation. We all would probably.

Regardless, i still stand by saving lives rather than losing them for land or pride.
