Bland is also the drummer on the '92 Prince/["Artist formerly known azz"] & the "new power generation" album with the tunes "My Name is Prince, Love 2 the 9's, The Morning Papers, The Max, I Wanna Melt w You, Arrogance, the Flow, Da** U, 7, Sexy MF, & God Created Woman," etc.
"7" & "Morn Papers" are 2 of my faves...the voc harmonies in 7; & MB does some nice work on "Papers," esp. towards the end....

There has been talk of John Blackwell, but quite frankly the BEST drummer Prince ever had was Michael B. Check out SHH from the Gold Experience cd to see what I am talking about. Blackwell has nothing over Michael IMO.

Hey does anyone know what albums Bland is on with Prince? I remember hearing some live song that was just smoking...hopefully it came from a live cd.

Michael B is also on the Ricky Peterson cd Smile Blue which is one of my favorite cds (vinnie's there too along with gordy knudtson). great tunes with awesome playing.

Agreed on that SHH tune, Rand-man... the highlight of that CD.
