First off let me tell you what i got i have a 99 GSR if i was to purchase a jackson racing supercharger and run the 6 psi pulley for a while then when i decided to upgrade to a 8 or 10 psi and ran the hondata system? is it ok to run the jackson with just the basics? from jackson racing with the 6 psi pulley? w/o the btc and map sensor? thanks

you can be perfectly fine running the JRSC with only the supercharger. You don have to have the addons that JR sells. They help to make more power, and they do help reliability, but they are not NEEDED. I ran my kit at 6 psi with just the blower and an intake for like 6 months with nary a problem. (lol I used the word nary.) Wih just the basic 6 psi kit I was able to hang with lightly modded 5.0s (CAI, headers, X-pipe 3.55s etc) Not bad for a "Bolt-On" GSR http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I just sold my Kit for $1800 to newgsrdriver on this board. That seems to be the going rate, as lilmikey77 on here just bought one for 1800 as well.

well i have a mugen 4-1 header already and hks full cat back so i am ok on that end.anything i should look for when i am buying a used kit?

At the very least, you will need a fuel pump. The stock one simply will not meet the needs of the high pressures needed by the base kit.

I posted a little while back on what to look for when buying a used JRSC. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/Forum40/HTML/007594.html . You have to be careful. I have seen a few damaged blowers when searching for mine.
I got a pretty screaming deal on mine: $1550 w/ a Cartech, 310's and ENDYN stepper pully shipped. THe blower is in great shape too.

It would be a good idea to also purchase some gauges such as an in car Electric FP gauge, an A/F gauge, and a Boost gauge.

According to UPS, the kit should be here today...I have the day off and am just lounging around to make sure I dont miss it. Im crossing my fingers that it comes on schedule...its getting kind of late!!!!

Actually its sitting behind me... still unopened. I'm at work and I've been swamped all day. I figure I'll just take it home and unpack it... weeeeee!
Get a hold of JRCivic off this board, send him $117 and you'll get a Walbro GSS-342. Much better deal than the $160 pump that JR sells, and actually its a high pressure pump.
