Conundrum

It's 90* in the shade and from the storm and all the rain feels like a jungle today.

My problem is, do I go snorkeling this evening at Sand Key or Pass-A-Grille?

Tough call on that one. Since I've never been to either, I would have to suggest either flipping a coin or playing rock paper, scissors with yourself [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]

Even got into the pool myself today.
Sun , a little background music, girls sunning themselves, me sunning myself, kids playing in the pool even a few dining alfresco Poolside.
'Tis the good life it is! LOL!
You know, that AlFresco thang is great. Especially when there's a little brezze or something.
I should have done that last night.
BBQ chicken, cole slaw, corn on the cob and a maragrita would have even been better outdoors [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

well I couldn't go under the water really, it's still too murky and full of muck from the storm, and the sun was setting too so I didn't have enough light. But...the shells were washing right up on the beach anyway so all I had to do was wade in water 4" deep and find them at my feet, I found a nice amount.

It was so cute as I was walking back I got almost all the way to my car and looked at my shell bag and somethng didn't look quite right, here one of the little conchs was still in the shell and was sticking his little eyes out of the bag looking around scared. So I reached down and grabbed the shell out and made sure there were no other live ones I missed and he sucked himself back inside and pulled his little lid shut and as I was carrying it back to the water he peaked out at me. I threw him out into the water as far as I could. I don't know how people can kill a little creature like that just because they want the shell? He has as much right to live as we do and to kill him/her for the shell is murder in my opinion.

I bought a photo at summerfair of a sunset through some palm trees on miami beach. I bought it as a sort of "mood enhancer" for the rainy days [img]wink.gif[/img] LOL!

Always plenty of good days to counter the bad ones (at least weather wise)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">1 lb. conch meat
1/2 lg. onion
2 stalks celery
1/2 red pepper
1/2 green pepper
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. Tabasco

1 egg
1/3 c. self rising cornmeal

Directions:
Put conch through food grinder or food processor. Process next four ingredients and mix with conch, adding salt and egg. Mix well. Mix together cornmeal and flour. Add conch mixture. Mixture should be thick. Add buttermilk and Tabasco. Drop by heaping tablespoon into deep oil until light brown. Drain. Serve with Grey Poupon mustard, mayonnaise and lime juice.

No P [img]cool.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/sun.gif[/img] LSIDE today. Someone broke a glass and they had to drain the pool to clean it up.

Plastic bottles and cups only, and unbreakable if you've got it. (I do, my poolside cup is unbreakable plasic) Most people do just bring plastic stuff down there, I've never even seen anyone with anything glass arund the pool.

Oh well, plenty of sunny days ahead for that. No big deal (I guess) to miss one, but I hope it doesnt happen again.
