What's the normal reaction? Do you ask for help or do you pretend you know what you're doing?
Depends.
if there is someone I trsut taht I know can do waht I don't know - I admit I can't do it and point them in that direction.
If I know the persion I am talking to will make a big deal about it going to another person, I'll trudge through it or take the person I know does know how to do it to lunch and pick their brain.
If it is something that I haven't ever tried and I don't know anyone that can do it - I will say that I don't know, but given time I can figure it out. If they don't like giving me the time, then it is up to them to come up with an alternative.
Most time though I start screaming like a chimp and fling my poo at them until they get the idea I don't want them to darken my door

I search for assistance from multiple sources....
... No one knows EVERYTHING, nor should they be expected to... but the ones who thrive are the ones who don't back down from the SEARCH for the answers. [img]wink.gif[/img]
Depends upon the situation, but I'm not too egotistical to ask for help if I really need it.
I'll usually try to solve said situation on my own first though.
Hmmmm..... i didn't ask for help.... time to call 911...
