I saw the Chronicles of Riddick figures earlier today at Suncoast. After some serious debate with myself I had to leave them on the pegs. Some not-so-great paint apps especially on Kira (or however you spell it). And at $12.99 each they weren't all that. Maybe if they go on clearance down the road I'll pick some of them up.
And case breakdown was something like this:
Kira x1
Riddick x4
Lord what's his name x2
Guy from LOTR x3
Guy with the swimming mask x2
I am one that pretty much starting to write off anything from SOTA. They look so good in the promo shots, and then never carry through
Laura Croft, Charmed, and then hearing CoR info from you. Shame really as they could be really good licenses, but damn if the follow through isn't done correctly.

And has anyone else noticed that Suncoast seems to be raising the prices on their figures lately. The Alien/Predator refresh and Monsters 3 are $12.99. Wasn't Monsters 2 $10.99 or maybe $11.99?
I hope the Street Fighter figures turn out good... I'm really looking forward to those...

Monsters 2 were $11.99 All figures have gone up just a bit.
The problem is the parent company/comglorerate keeps losing money and each owner of Musicland buys the three as a whole, and they are losing money due to Sam Goody. The other 2 stores (Media Play and Suncoast) are pulling in great profits, but adding in the third brings them into a loss.
For some reason the way the chain is set up, there isn't an apparent way to jettison SG and keep the other two thriving. They can't sell SG off or just close it off. I am not sure of why that all is, but it is a point of contention for all the management of Meusicland (high up down to store level).
Also - if you reallyu looked, SunCoast is going to be going through some changes as they are getting into buying back DVDs and such for a used section of selling to try to compete with CD Warehouse and such. Their prices on DVDs have also gone up in the last few months after the last changing of owners. A change int he Warehousing location and company - not all for the good.
