Ultra Safeguard is here.

Built in 2 Bar MAP sensor. Two control knobs. Boost retard start and boost
retard rate. Boost retard start is adjustable from 0 to 10 psi. Rate is
adjustable from 0 to 2? per psi, 20? max. This is in addition to the individual
cylinder knock retard.

Additional features: FI/NA switch (forced induction/naturally aspirated). NA
mode for high compression engines uses onboard MAP sensor for adjustable vacuum
advance.

Built in knock retard monitor LED. Brightness varies with knock retard amount.
LED is removable for remote mounting.

Version 1 for JRSC, version 2 for Turbo/Vortech SC

Version 2 has these additional features:
1) MAP limiter circuit (electronic check valve) to prevent ECU MAP codes.
2) Selectable triggering edge. Rising edge triggering for Honda, falling edge
for Toyota and RX7.
3) 4 cyl/6cyl mode select.
4) Selectable pullup or pulldown resistor. Pullup for Honda, pulldown for
Toyota/RX7.

Available next week.

New round 2.06" dual monitor coming in two weeks. New feature has
"Cruise/Power" switch. "Power" mode expands out the range of the 8th light into
10 lights.

Ok, ok. You've got me thinking about a way to upgrade your existing units.

I see a piggyback box with MAP sensor and control knobs that would output a signal to the SafeGuard's TPS input pin.

Software mod also required to read this signal.

Fancy blue box or plastic potting shell? We could have our 5x4x1.2 extrusions cut down to maybe 5x1.5x1.2. Or a cheap plactic cube. Not.

Two or three months at most.

If it wasn't for the 'net I would have never learned how to work on my car, or learned about forced induction.

Plus companies and customers have never had a better way to communicate and make products better and customers happier.

Anyhow...enough blubbering about that.

This new dual monitor looks like stoich is now off the scale, and a more optimal 12.0 is in its place. Did the old rectangular one have stoich in the middle?

How accurate will the monitor (and O2 sensor) be out around 12? Will it be relaying meaningful details or just a simply indicating you are running more rich than stoich or lean?
