My wife sherri and I took our oral test, etc today....we passed with flying colors (red , white, and blue!).....we are officially being sworn in as US citizens tuesday, sept 21st at 2:30 pm at the courthouse in downtown seattle!
I will ALWAYS be a canadian at heart.....but I love this country too and Im proud to be a NEW american!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ive lived in the USA for 20 years now.......I just felt that it was time (and long overdue) to become a citizen...I wanted the right to vote (which you dont get with a green card)......Im 43 years old and have NEVER voted in an election of any kind...call it silly...but it is one of the freedom's we have in a free world.....I felt like a man without a country.....I will never move back to canada as I love where I live...my kids are all americans.......I just felt it was time.....I will ALWAYS be a canadian at heart...but I truly love THIS country to and decided to make the commitment to her!Quote:
