Thanks for posting that Shedder and Chuch. I love the over the barline and the "hey...slow it down!" parts of the recording. I tried the danmar fiberglass patch with the wooden beater thing right after I went to this clinic. You can really get a lot of speed using that set up. Hearing a real clean kick attack makes a huge impact on execution. Also, I found it interesting that Vinnie, at the time, was not using the top-of-the-line Yamaha pedal but the lighter weight "710" model. I also bought one of these after that clinic, but preferred the old Ludwig Speed King instead (at the time). Great, great playing by Vinnie on a white Recording Custom kit. That clinic had a huge effect on a lot of drummers. It showed us what was possible and really pushed the edge of the drumming envelope. Thanks Vince!
