Ok I'm new to upping the boost on my stock JRSC set up. But I want to make sure I get this right. Are you guys saying that if I swap my crank pulley with a Honda CRV crank pulley I can see about a 2-3 psi increase???? If that's the case what else do I need to do this. What fuel componets? etc....... Or would you just recomend the JR Bosst upgrade. Just to give you an Idea on what I'm working with I got: '95 GS-R, AEM CAI, 4-2-1 Hedder, Random Tech Hi Flo Cat, Trust 2 1/4 exauhst, AEM under drive pulleys, JRSC w/ JR Regulator. I also have a Unorthodox crank pulley that's making me only get about 2 psi!!!!! This is the main reason why I want to swap out the pulley so bad. Any suggestions?

You can find all of the correct info on the CRV crank pulley upgrade as far as fuel, and all the other stuff. Use the search feature It has solved many of my questions.

JRSC 6psi(soon to be 8)RC 270's, cartech 2025i water inj, jr map mod, vpac, JR BTC, dcsports 4-1, apex-i N1 catback 2.5", stock cat(my bad), J&S safeguard, (JR 8psi upgrade), fuel pump, aluminum fly(6.5)lb, center force dual friction clutch. A/F gauge, FP gauge, boostgauge. and big old crappy Konig rated "R" 17's this thing is sure to be slow

I see 12psi on the boost gauge with a CRV pulley + the standard JRSC for a GSR.
You will need...
Mandatory:
- 310+cc Injectors
- An adjustable rising rate FPR
- AEM FPR or some hacking on the stock FPR
Stupid not to get:
- J&S Safeguard (classic will do)
- Thermostat
- In car FP gauge
- A/F ratio gauge
Ought to get:
- JR BTC or some boost dependant timing retard unit
- Boost gauge
- Water wetter and a higher water content coolant mix
- 3" short intake with heat shielding and cold air ducting
Might want:
- Wrapped headers for heat reduction
- Straight pipe
- Remove condensor for better radiator cooling
<edit> If you get a standalone engine management system, a lot of the above does not apply. <edit>

Do you have the UR 3-Groove crank pulley or the single groove RACE pulley ??? If it is the latter, I would be willing to take it off your hands.

I have never heard of someone having problems because due to overdriving. The alternator has a voltage regulator with prevents it from surging. But if you don't spin it (alt) fast enough ie underdrive pulleys yes you would possibly have a problem. I think I remember the crv crank actually underdrives the p/s, but I am unsure of the a/c.

Gs-raw,
I was using the crv crank pulley and the 8 psi pulley. I was seeing 11 psi boost w/ 3" exhaust and no cat. Each car is different, but for the most part it increases boost by 3-4 psi. I have one for sell if you would like. 60.00 and it's yours. I no longer need it.

Does the over-driving of the other components that run off of the crank pulley create any problems?

I don't get it. I thought it would replace my pulley? You're saying you had both on the car????

I think he meant that the 8 psi pulley is the JR pulley at the nose of the supercharger. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
