Favorite Molly outfit?

Now that Molly is here, she's going to need a new outfit. Can any of you tell me which outfit she NEEDS first or which is your favorite? Also any in the current line of outfit or furniture that you think might retire soon? Thanks!

Hmmm... Molly is my absolute favorite doll, but choosing a favorite outfit... hmm...

After a quick trip to my closet, I would vote for her Route 66 dress, but there are still so many more that I like. As far as necessity, I would vote for her pajamas and her after school outfit. That gives Molly outfits for life's most important activities: sleeping and playing. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Of her items that may face retirement someday, I would also consider her Route 66 dress. Of course her aviator outfit is on the way out, if it isn't already gone. I also think that her Miss Victory dress may also disappear.

My favorite Molly accessory is her birthday games. I love the roller skates!

Well, in terms of what I think would be retiring, I would say the Aviator Outfit (no longer available at AGP I think, and IMO is one of the best outfits AG has ever made), the Route 66 dress, her After School Outfit, and possibly by next spring the Victory Garden Dress.

If you want her to be seasonal, I would get her Christmas dress first or pajamas. I always get the pajamas first for my girls! Her plaid school jumper is really cute too.

I love the Victory Garden dress. I have her Meet and hula outfits too, and while they're cute, I don't like that the sweaters have to be stretched over her head. I really don't want to mess her braids.

Molly lives at our house too. I like her Route 66 dress best. My DD likes Miss Victory. I have to admit it has really grown on me. The Christmas dress is hiding up in the attic. I took a peak and it looks great! We were able to get the Aviator special but donn't have the after school outfit. I guess I may have to rethink my list (Other thread) if it's a retirement candidate.

The Victory Garden dress! My Molly practically lives in hers, lol.

But now that it's finally cooling off down here she's going in her Meet Outfit.

A month or so back you could purchase the aviator outfit from AGP for $12.00 with a purchase of $25.

Let us know which outfit Molly decides on.

The Aviator Outfit !!! One of the all time best historical outfits ever made. It will be gone soon.

I think my favorite is the Route 66 followed by the Victory Garden.

What's wrong with the slicker? We don't have it yet but when I think of Molly I think of that Yellow Slicker. It's on our list.

I only have Molly's Meet and her Aviator outfits. I love the Aviator outfit and my boy doll shares it! I also love her victory dress and her plaid
jumper and her after school outfit and I'm one of "those" who think the cowgirl outfit,including the boots, is adorable. I also love her Camp Gowonagin outfit for summer! After Felicity, I like Molly's outfits the most! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Congrats on getting Molly! She's my favourite too.
My most favourite outfit for her is the Route 66 outfit. I have it and it looks lovely on her. I plan to get the accessories this Christmas. The little Brownie camera is so cute. I also like her Victory garden dress and the Aviator outfit which I both do have already. The Christmas dress is nice too.

I like the Victory Garden dress and her school dress! Both are great! I do not think you can go wrong on a Molly outfit! Except or that slicker! lol! Cannot wait to see which outfit/ outfits you get for Molly!

My friend had Molly and growing up I always liked her school outfit.

I was a child of the 60s, but I wore clothes just like Molly. I think her school dress and her little red shorts are actual copies of my clothes. LOL

My favorite things were my jump rope and my roller skates and Molly's house looks just like my Grandparent's house. My mom grew up in that house in the 40s so that might explain my Molly like childhood. [img]smile.gif[/img]

My favorite Molly outfits are her Victory Garden and her Route 66 dresses. Of course anything with a twirly skirt gets my vote. I just look at one and I can feel the child in me whirling and whirling until she can't stand up. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I love the Route 66 dress! My Molly is actually wearing it now. I also love the Victory Garden dress though I don't have it. I'd definitely start with pjs, though.

I was never a big fan of Molly's dresses, too modern for my tastes, but I would have to say her Victory Garden dress.
As for what's slated for retirement, I'd think after the avator outfit her Route 66 and parhaps the after school outfit are the next to go.
This is fun. Maybe we could make some more of these topics.

I thought the aviator outfit was already gone. It was on sale at the Oshkosh WI outlet store. The first outfit to get, IMHO, would be the pj's w/robe & slippers. We also like the school dress & Victory garden dress. I like the navy cords & flannel shirt that are the after school outfit. Don't think those are available either. Whatever you pick, have fun making your choice!!

Forgot to add a note about the slicker--it can't be closed completely with the metal closures. The grommet to fit the clasp thingy part through is too large so it comes off

Route 66 dress, school dress and the victory garden dress. My favorite is route 66 though! I also love her afterschool flannel shirt with cords and the retired tennis outfit. I was born in the 60's and started school in '71 so Molly and I not only looked alike but we dressed alike. My fourth grade school picture dress very well could have been Molly's school dress. Cheerio... the molly look alike in CT, Lorie.
