wow...
they're pretty common out here, although in my area of Wpg, it's hard to see 'em sometimes.
regardless, it make sya wonder, ya know?
scientific explanations be damned.

COOL but i have never seen one
Normally we don't get them around here much. Actually, we probably do but we have to much light pollution to see them.

Be cool to see them, but I am probably too far south, and the city gives off too much light pollution where I am at to even think on seeing them.
"The" Aurora? That sounds hilarious.
You people from Jersey are so easy to entertain... You've never seen Northern lights until you see them in the NORTH!

...that's right, look to the skies, the Aurora has been lighting up the skies in as far south as Utah for the last week!
...my wife and youngest daughter spotted the strange lights the other night. They came home and told me they saw the strangest thing. I figured it was the Aurora from what they described.
...that was just confirmed on the radio. I'm listening to some expert talking about it right now.
...for those who have been seeing strange lights and UFO's.
...and for those who said there were no planets in the sky. Venus and Jupiter are visible right now. Low in the sky as well, so the atmosphere will definitely do strange things at that angle.
...and if you feel like getting up around 4:00 AM EST, you'll likely be able to see the Aurora if you look northward.

I actually have to wake up at 4:30AM this morning... hopefully I'll catch 'em!
*yawn*
we get them all the time.
seriously though, if you've never seen them, it's really a sight to see.
see?
makes a person feel all funny inside.
I saw them very dimly last night.
you were dim last night?
Probably!
It was weird. It's the first time I've ever seen them.
I was walking across a field and looking at the stars. I looked over to a different part of the sky and realized that I couldn't see the starts because there seemed to be a light in the sky. I looked around and realized that it wasn't coming from anything around me.
It wasn't a nice green, kind of a greyish-green. Was still cool, being my first time seeing them though.
The N. Lights were spotted as south as Culpepper Virginia in last night's news. I need to look outside tonight...or is it too late?

Dammit!!! For a while I thought it was the new 'Aurora' Stealth plane you were talking about.
Well... I was up at 4:30, and didn't see them. Saw the planets though... I mean... Guyver's UFO.
I was trying to look for the lights, since I've never seen them... but it was hard to keep looking north, and then try to keep my eyes on the road, trying to avoid a collision with deer (one of the pleasures of driving on Michigan highways in the dark).
In my last car about 5 years back, I hit 4 at the same time doing about 70mph. That kinda burns into the back of your mind...

$2400 damage to my car too...
I've never gone hunting, but I bagged me 4 bucks that night...
I'd love to see them, but I too am probably a bit far south Ahh well. Back to strange lights in the sky, oh nevermind, that's just the Police chopper.
