Let me be the first to say thanks Steve. The nine is a cool lick, Like the "blusda" that I can use as a weapon of mass destruction. Ok, ok.... It just sounds cool. How great is this forum. I do a lot of jobbing gigs and rarely get to work out with other drummers and Steve has once again given us something else that is the shiznite.....
Just remember, 'don't hurt anyone with it, it's not a toy!' LOL.

Steve, you do an excellent job on communicating the execution of the various drum licks (the nine, etc). I like the way you will play a lick up to speed and then break it down so that we can really learn how to do the sticking and execution. Just want you to know that I appreciate the time you take to make yourself available. And I laugh out loud everytime I hear you conclude "...it's not a toy." LOL Thanks, Steve.

Yes, i don?t want to offend, but I was going to tell something about that avatar (photo). Definitly it is not my favorite avatar (one shot-gun and one dead-killed animal). Well, hunting it is NOT my favorite hobbye.

Whitetail hunting is a passion like no other and a very longstanding tradition. All of our ancestors were hunter gathers at one time. I just don't choose to stalk my meat(antibiotic and steroid infiltrated)in the supermarket Isle like many but rather take the renewable resource from my own land. I mean to offend no one! I (and all law abiding hunters) have more respect for these animals than anyone and I'm with them all year round - not just when I happen to see one out in the field....I can not apologize. Hell, what was there 250,000 Iraquis bulldozed to ensure we got our petroleum so the vegetarians could transport their carrots 3,000 miles across the country thus creating more pollution etc.... I don't think everyone needs to hunt but if you eat animals there's much to be said for doing it yourself.

Don't want to get involved in a heated debate here but I think its the triumphant hunter and his quarry aspect of this that strikes peoiple as odd.
It occurs to me that if you got your meat at the supermarket you wouldn't have an avatar of yourself at the checkout... unless the cashier was an uber babe!
Thats probably true....its not the killing by a long shot it's the strategy trying to outwit the animal and they live to see another day more often than not. I may take 1 or 2 bucks a season and pass on 30 -40 deer over all generally. No heated debate here, I won't go there.............back to the drums
