-
tony williams
billy cobham
elvin jones
these are my favorite. or are they too "obscure pretentious jazz" drummers?
-
i missed out jimmy chamberlin out of the smashing pumpkins.
-
I'd say Jimmy Chamberlin definitley, he is one of the greatest drummers I've ever heared.
-
Brad Wilk - Ratm
Dave Grohl - Nirvana & Foo Fighters (supposedly)
Darrin Pfeiffer - Goldfinger
Travis Barker - Blink182
Josh Freese - The Vandals
errr.... yeah.
Ginger Baker - Cream
Neil Peart - Rush
end.
-
wow someone else listens to rush! but does anyone like YES?
-
id say tommy ramone, theres just not enough passion in drumming to pick a favourite, you have to go on technical ability. so i guess some one like gene kruper
-
-
i see all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied i'm on my way!
i dont like yes that much tho, i learned to play the clap the other day.
But ive only got one album
-
ah, gene kruper and buddy rich. the "drummers drummers" choice!
-
lets not forget Joey out of Slipknot..love them or hate them he is a good drummer.......
Mike Bordin-Faith No More/Korn...damn good too
-
Shut up. Jimmy Chamberlin is choice drummer
-
Yeah but hes in the smashing pumkins...which is a bad move....
-
-
David Silveria (Korn) - he is fantastic!
Dave Grohl (Nirvana) - he is very solid.
Travis Barker (Blink 182) - impressively complicated.
-
joey slipknot may be a good drummer, but does he really have to play that fast on EVERY song?
it's like happy bloody hardcore.
-
Yeah, I agree Joey Jordison is good but he's really predictable. He over uses the double bass drum pedal shtick.
-
^
and tony hajjar (the nicest man in rock)
and james lo (chavez)
and mike kinsella (esp. in the owls)

-
Taylor Hawkins - Foo fighters
Abe Cunningham - Deftones

I VUD LEIK TU NOMEENATE MYZELF FOR DEES PRESTIGOOS AVARD.
-

-
Derrick (lagwagon) Sorry martin I don't really rate dave... Not too keen on his style...
The drummer from Kid dynamite
Bigwig's drummer
Whippersnapper's drummer
Travis (blink)
slayer's drummer!!
-
the guy from whippersnapper is good, but some of his fills are pretty sketchy, or maybe theyre ded complex and i cant understand how they fit?
glad someone mentioned them tho...... the guy from bodyjar is also very good
-
no no no once again you all get it wrong
the correct top 5 is
phil colins - gennisis
ringo star - tommas the tank
nob 4a nose - slipknot (cos he wanks his nose)
dick van dike - the marry popins project
the human beat box - solo
-
Yeah I agree with Belly Boy, most drummers in big bands are usually of high standard
-
The best drummer in the aquabats was Travis Barker before he left. He had some crazy ska beats. mint!
-
hi dunks, i think dave is a good drumemr, i rate him but he is deffinately not in the same league as derrick! BRING BACK DERRICK AND SONGS ABOUT BEER!
new kid...i put ron from offspring down cos nirvana, green day and offspring were the first rock bands i really got into and offspring are the fastest so i put ron down for being the reason i wanted to play fast. granted, his beats are pretty damn easy though.
add to the list the drummer from adhesive, only heard them a couple of times but i was impressed. oh yeah and system of a down.
i could go on with loads more so im just gonna stop now. my vote for favourite drumemr usually go on if the bands are good...and i like a lot of bands
-
I used to love nirvana.... I wanted to be dave grohl! But then I met ste and them lot and they wanted me to play fast... I was incapable at first until someone gave me my first punk tape... strung out! Another day in paradise on one side and suburban teenage wasteland blues on the other.. after that I went to ssj 1... then I heard stoking the neighbours by lagwagon... ssj2 was born.. he he...
-
Some jazz drummers are pretty cool aswell... apart from when they do their drum solo's they never seem to make sense to the song.. it's like they just go off on one or something.. he he

yeah jazz drummers are ace! i always wanted to learn that shit!
oh and dunks-you best get training cos ssj2 isnt gonna be enough for our band (if we get a practice sorted) ssj3 is the way...then again, i dont think long hair would suit you hee hee
