I was looking at SOTA list of retailers and it sucks, only like three. Really hope these pop into Amazon or at least EB or Babbages online....

Have you guys seen The Blues Brothers ? Do they look good ?

those packages wouldnt be that bad if they were used on non horror movie figures. its just that they are all bright and cheery and glitzy and they dont work one bit for lowbudget horror films. they just are a complete contrast to the figure and the packaging should compliment the figure

"I have a love/hate relationship with the packaging..

theres a lot of negative space on some figures but we need the extra room to fit Darkman and Imhotep sized figures.

My problem with the trational style clamshell most use is that the larger figures always seemed 'jammed' into the packaging with their limbs all twisted around to fit. So I thought I'd make something big enough for all our figures to fit into neatly.

Of course we see the problem that occurs.

I might try to put a different background in next series to break up the space behind the figures.

that's pretty lame, IMO.
I think this is a refreshing change from what I see in the stores. and being movie figs, the marquee makes sense.

I'm not saying Modern is always better..... I still play a fender strat and a tube amp... I can't stand the high tech guitar gear.

Some things just look a bit... um... "Pleasantville" to me. [img]wink.gif[/img]

The Packaging is fucking horrible...but I can't wait for the figs. Now Playing and Cult Classics are gonna rock...I'm excited about these lines in the way I used to be excited about Movie Maniacs when they were first being made.

There are so many good B movie licenses like these that McF has passed on...and there are so many more awesome versions of characters like Jason, Freddy, Leatherface, etc. that McF never bothered making. I mean, they made great use out of the Alien / Pred licenses, but I have always wished they had done more with older MM licenses...it's cool that somebody out there, if not McF, is going to make these figs [img]smile.gif[/img]

that's partly why I like it.

there haven't been many toys lately that had packaging that I liked.
a couple of McF (Elvis 3 is the only one I remember. I preferred the card/bubble combo)...the occasional Microman...the Thundarr figs, and Art Asylum's Dark Alliance lines...
there's probably a few more, but I find the boxy clamshell to be very blah...
