Imagine my amazement, when i was at the studio with my boyfriend at the weekend here in London (he plays for a g'n'r tribute band), when i ran into Ace from TIGERTAILZ in the corridor!
To cut a long story short, Ace took us to meet the rest of the band, (all great guys) and we got to hear Steevi sing a few of their new songs (amazing!!),Love Overload and Love Bomb Baby!!!
A rare treat for a long time Tailz fan, thanks for the coffee fellas, hope you get to read this - i will def be buying the new album!
-
Steevi was singing Bezerk tracks??? That's unheard of. He flatly refused to, previously.
-
You sure ya got the right 'Tailz as Steevi never sang the songs you mentioned?????
-
Welcome to the board anyway!
-
If Steevi is indeed doing these songs... it is plain wrong.
My money is still on the proper Tigertailz anyway. Keeping it welsh!!
-
Hi Everyone - Yes i'm sure - how awesome was that!!!
They look great and the new stuff is killer - i have been trying to leave a message on their website but cannot get on there (i know they said its running slow coz its all being re-done kinda thing). So i do hope they check this board out.
Can't chat people- at work, but still gobsmacked!
-
This is the only site ya need
PROPER TIGERTAILZ
I still can't get over Steevi's version doing songs like Love Bomb Baby... wtf is that all about? lol!
-
Btw no offense to Steevi's Tigertailz... i wish them all the best with what they are doing. I'm just more for the Welsh Tigertailz because they started out a welsh band and always will be. Pepsi and Jay afterall ARE Tigertailz
-
Was Steevi involved in any aspect of writing Love Bomb Baby?
-
This is fucked. If this is true, Steevi needs to ummmm...get fucked.
-
I don't see what the problem is, maybe they just did it in rehersal for a joke? I suport the Pepsi version too...
-
If it was just farting about, eh, O.K., but if it was serious I think that is a whole different story.
-
Thats why I want to know if he had involvement with these songs in any way. If not it seems strange that he would want to cover them when there was a divide. Its a bit like Tommy Lee covering Vince Neil songs, it just wouldn't happen.
-
In thinking, maybe Ace has something to do with it.
You sure this is right NetPet?
-
I don't think Ace had anything to do with the writing of those songs although i could be wrong. Haven't got the CD at hand at the moment.
-
The Bezerk tracks were credited to all four members. Maybe Ace, as a co-writer, decided they would do the tracks. People were calling for those tracks at previous shows, and Steevi wasn't too chuffed.
Maybe they'll be a tribute band, like Adler, Blotzer, etc?
-
Oh they WERE credited to all 4 members? Like i said, i don't have the CD at hand to check lol.
Still though... a bit odd this one.
-
Its only a LITTLE bit worse than Kim singin Jaimz era Tailz... although I prefer Kim singin and his previous band Rankelson.
-
Well, the difference is that the Steevi version doing the runes would be more like a tribute band, as only the drummer did that stuff. The Kim version are the guys that wrote and played on the Y&C stuff. If you hear the Kim version, you are hearing the music by the right people. The Steevi version, you are getting the drums. What is more like GnR after all, Adlers Appetite, or the band that recorded "Use Your Illusion"?

I Don't Think So .... Pathetic if True
-
I agree with Andii...
I've always felt that Jay and Pepsi are the heart and soul of that band.
That EP that Steevi and Ace put out last year made me ill. I was so shocked and let down. Makes for a good coaster though.
-
Spydur.. i gave that EP a listen also being that i absolutely LOVED the Young & Crazy album, but i just couldn't get into the EP at all. Good luck to the guys though, it just isn't my cup of tea.
It's true though, Tigertailz without Pepsi and Jay is like having Pizza without cheese and tomato.

It is weird that Steevi would be singing Berzerk era tracks, but not that weird. It's not really that different than Kim singing Y&C era tunes. if you are calling yourselves Tigertailz, which they both are evidently, than I think anyone who goes to see them would actually like to hear Steevi singing some of the classics from the other album. just like Kim singing "Living Without You" or anything else off the first album. if I was at the concert, I would certainly appreciate it, and love to hear them.
It seems as though it's a bitter divide between the 2 TT camps though, so that makes it a bit strange. No big deal to me though. I'm sure Netpet must be correct....how could anyone possibly confuse the 2 singers????
