About the Gmail accounts

ok 2 of the accounts have been put on 24 hour "hold" for "unuasual" activity.

Basically they may think someone is using it to spam people because the uploads and downloads have exceeded the whopping 1 gig they give us on a daily basis. It's pretty standard.

We need to split up the accounts into a few more Gmail sites (I have invites, they are free, and pm me if you want to participate).

We then need to find a nuetral place away from this board to list what is posted on the drives (with no account information on the boards mind you, other than the name of the account).

then you can cruise the list, decide what you want to download and go directly onto the specific drive and get it.

by spreading it out over a few more drives it will bring the usage down, and also if we can keep it to under 50% of each drives limits that will help as well. so figure 500 megs a drive for files.

it can be done without it crashing again.

we just need to centralize it somehow, and spread the load, we got too popular too fast.

The place where we can all post stuff away from our home sweet home board. please, DO NOT post passwords OUTSIDE of the yahoo account or what the name of the email group is on this board! simply post the account name of the drive and what you have added and when you will remove it (maximum 1 week).

This is a MEMBERS only site for all of us, so the public can keep their nosy butts out! nEW members are always welcome though!

I will approve you almost immediatly in most cases, if not its because I have a life and it might take me a few hours to get back to you! [img]wink.gif[/img]

some of the files need to be moved off of the glitzinet account and spread to either the "hardrockin80s" one or the "youwantityougotit" account. the glitzinet one is WAY too full. maybe take some of the members folders and assign them across the drives...Joni?

sleazerockers has had a few files removed (its been 7 days) I left a couple up but they will be replaced with new files in the next 24 hours.

anyone else want to contribute a gmail drive? its free, i'll send you an invite (PM me your first name and email addy) and then you can contribute it to the group!

if you have more than 1 email addy I can send you another gmail invite just for your own private use as well. whatever...

HEY! We have two NEW gmaill drives to use! they are being posted on the messege thread of yahoo account. go get the info and use 'em!

just make sure you post a message on the group letting everyone know what you have added and what drive they are on.

2 accounts are back down. Have added some stuff to one my drive. Nobody has requested this stuff but give it a try.

Just a thought maybe it may be a good idea to post peoples trade lists on the yahoo site as well.
