Sludge = The best site on the net
Metal Sludge sucks donkey balls...well the board that is. I got banned from there...just for asking the first Bastard Boy Floyd if Metal Sludge Board was advertised towards Morons and Idiots. Just for that one question I got banned...LMFAO. Then the bastard had the nerve to email me and said I was an asshole...in which I replied saying that then, I should fit in perfect on the board. He emailed me back and told me to eat shit...and I replied telling him he was a spineless puppet who lets people tell him what to do and that he need to stop being such a moron and jumping off bridges when people tell him to...haha.
I had a blast arguing with such an idiot.
So, that recalls my one day on sludge....you heard right...One Day...and Banned in a matter of minutes...LOL
I remember that. There were a lot worse posts than yours, I'd guess the emailing finalised it.
They don't like people dissing Sludge on their own site, which is fair enough... if someone came here and said "Did the guy who invented Glitzine make this site for idiots".. they'd probably be banned too.
Far worse than what Marcus posted was all over those boards. I'd say it was most likely the emailing.
Sludge did get out of hand with offline hassles and other bullshit. The admins chose to do nothing about it, except to kill the messengers.
i wouldn't expect the admins to do anything about offline hassles just like i wouldn't expect spicy to give a shit if i drove down to texas and smacked marcus in the head because he said kiss sucked. it's a message board, that's all it is. i still have a hard time understanding how a message board can have that much of an impact on your life.
and i thought this topic was "what do you think about metalsludge?" not "what do you think about the message boards over at metalsludge?" i consider them two separate entities. i think metal sludge is mondo entertainment. i love reading it and i think it's great the way they tell it like it is. now the messages boards over at sludge i couldn't comment on since i have never visited them.
so in conclusion, i think metal sludge is a great site.
i agree with bill.. sludge is cool. i think stevie is an asshole.. but that's just me.. (he was rude to us when we met him..)
As for ripping on the bands? That's the whole idea.. it just try's to put them in their place.. it's a site that deals with primarily washed up ex-rockstars that still think they're something special... Most of them take it on the chin and join in.. i mean... look at the shit they gave Jani Lane.. and he did like 3 interviews with them and totally rolled with the punches!!
Sludge is cool. stevie sucks. the board... well.. i think it fits nicely with the site... tho kickin' katt off for sayin' what he did is a bit anti-sludge if you ask me...

I'm waiting on the curb for you with my brand new signature OJ Simpson knife...Can't wait to try it out....hahaha.
And yes, the METAL SLUDGE site is great!

LMMFGDAOA Darren!!!!
The thing is, when people say "Metal Sludge", the boards are what comes to mind with most, if not all, people. For quite some time, that was how Sludge got readers for its site, through posters/posting.
[B]<font size=10 color=crimson>NEVER HEARD OF IT !
Sometimes the website can be humorous.
I like Marcus was booted and banned from the board in a matter of minutes, after I made a jab at Bastard Boy Floyd. He didn't like the fact that I made him look like an ass, which was an easy thing to do. I just pointed out his blatant hypocrisy.
<font size="4" face="Arial">Regarding offline hassles, there were actual incidents that were more or less discussed on the boards, or at least referenced. Those incidents stemmed from people who had been contacting each other due to Sludge, but had fallings out with each other. Examples of net detective work were posted, people were being hassled, I'm sure you recall what happened to JJ's old board, it became a proxy for Sludge's wars. Sludge ought to have discouraged that shit. Instead, they encouraged it in order to get more viewers.Quote:

As for the style of Sludge's main site, I don't read it anymore. It used to be great, but as I've said before, the sheer idiocy of some of the posters helped to ruin the board, and in turn, it affected my thoughts on the whole site as well.
<font size="4" face="Arial">Perish the thought!!!!Quote:

To get things straight here...I didn't go in looking for a fight...I got hell for pimping a band link...and that's all it took...I had it out with some sludgers on there...Bastard Boy was there...and some stupid dumbass girl told him to ban me...He was being an ass as well, so I said what I said...and I believe it is the truth of what I said. 90% of the sludgers are idiots. 10% of them were cool, but those 10% were those getting shit at as well. I agree with Ali here....Stevie is a friggin' ass...I wouldn't say he was a washed up rockstar, because how can you say he was a rockstar when he wasn't one at all...he was just a musician that had a band. I rockstar is someone who makes tons of money for what he does and sells-out huge venues.....So no...I wouldn't put Stevie in the Rockstar category.

I don't like that site. I think they're assholes. I don't like them at all. They don't take bands seriously and I can't respect that. I once visited their message board and it's full of pricks. If they dissagree with you they insult you. I once posted a thread and all they replied was "Fuck off newbie, you're a loser, etc...".
What do you think?
Now here's a topic we've haven't exhaustively
discussed already.
Age is normally a factor in such things.

Metal Sludge rules. Stevie and whoever else is running it have a great sense of humor although they have not slagged as many bands as they used to since he came out. They are brutally honest which is not usual with many websites who cater to this types of bands. Its not for everyone but that is what attracts people to them. Don't take anything personal, they make fun of pretty much anyone.
Sludge used to be good. When the intense, personal hatred started, including real life personal shit, then it started to really go downhill.
A few old-timers attempted to revive the joie de vivre of the older boards, but it quickly turned into just another slagging match, albeit on a higher level. They are currently vegetating on another board, and a few morons who post there like to stir shit on Sludge.
As for what people post, a lot of personal shit was posted. People were harassed offline. For my part, I was a victim of crazy women playing net detective. I went from posting on many boards, to, for awhile, posting on none. The crap even spilled over onto this board, and killed several others off completely.
You want that shit, then please, don't bring it here.

Darren, you just knew I would say something, didn't you?
As for who runs the damn thing, it's most likely certain former groupies who the current crop could not hold a candle to.
Yea, and Stevie Rachelle.
I hate that place.......I was someone there at one time everyone knew me or of me.
They however don't understand jokes they make things personal try to go after you offline ect ect
Oh and they know shit about music.

increase in banners and commercials. Costs have
obviously increased, which suggests the possibility
of subscription - which would affect things quite
a lot.
Secondly, Rachelle spoilt all the fun by outing
himself. And that confessional editorial of his
was a bit weak, really, and long-winded.

We have lots of guests checking us out now, thanks to RockCityAngel at the Sludge Lounge.
Nice promo job, RCA!
That was too fucking easy.

Big Boys???...are you talking about the same sludgeboard?...I thought it was only Elementary kids in there...due to their child like insults and behavior?....LOL

I just went to the sludge lounge Stacey and I haven't found any thread about Glitzine. Where is the thread?
"Metal Sludge"...where have I heard that name before??? I must have read about it someplace...
Nevermind, I've found the thread.
Very lame indeed they are that hard up for attention.
I haven't posted there in months and look they come after me. very sad
Tig, I think they are in love with you.
I am their god, why else would anyone come here see I have posted and run back like a lil bitch to report.
Good to know though I mean so much to their lives LMFAO!!!!
I noticed that thread has been brought back up again.
Should we have a little welcoming thread for our visitors?
What a bunch of losers in Metal Shitludge. They say they make fun of Tuff Tigger Tyger because they thought he was a retard. I think you're cool, Tuff Tigger.
LMMFGDAO @ being insulted by Jaye The ShoeFucker and TiggerTuffMuffTygerTard, the two biggest douches to ever hit the metal community.
Oh, the me.
'Should we have a little welcoming thread for our
visitors?'
It doesn't get my vote. The Internet's tedious
enough as it is.
I found RCA's thread. One guy thinks that I 'must
be posting there [Sludge forums, based on my infre-
quent visitor's observations of the MS]' but I
don't think honestly think I have for about two
years, three years? ... Way too many graphics for my
then dail-up account.
I thought it was fairly obvious that Sludge may
possibly incorporate some sort of subscription
service - more people wanting pro-broadband
content (video, live streaming) will see to that.

You think that the popular aspect of the net will last through the rapidly eveolving technology? Or, like me, do you think that the escalating cost/complexity of hardware/software will drive out tye non-techno savvy? remember, it wasn't that long ago that you could find lots of net services for free, ones that you now have to pay extra for.
Media technology is predicated on one sole
philosophy: convergence. If 'Net companies believe
they're beginning to blind the layman, they'll
(make their own jobs easier) and simplify things
software, GUIs) for him, and then charge him extra
for the privilege.
I think the majority of medium - heavy 'Net
user are able to adapt in parallel with
the evolution on 'Net technology, the ones
that can't are probably the sames one who've
been having difficulty writing an email for
about six years. But then again, why type?
Why not make everything voice-activated? The
technology's been around for more than a decade.
Just imagine the fun of that:
Computer.
Yes.
Log-on to GNet.
Done.
Start new topic.
Done. Title?
Raggz, where's my Reason discs?
Done.
Now make me a cup of a green tea, bitch.
Done.
Most far-east countries still espouse that
'technology for all' philosophy, and goes out of
its way to always remain inclusive; the west,
is a joke, and broadband is criminally overpriced.
But it won't last.
I can't barely work my way around most cable TV
remote controls, but this isn't my fault, this
is simply bad product design and/or an ignorance
of user feedback.
