Brilliant site Tom! I've been looking forward to this and am still browsing through it... I'm about to check out the audio, but for some reason could not get the video to play... is there a way to download it or do I need a plug-in that maybe I do not have? I really like your kit setups, they LOOK great and I'm sure they SOUND even better!

Thanks Chris! Yeah, I just noticed as well about the video. Hmmmm...It's supposed to play without a problem. I'll inform my webmaster. I did JUST get the DNS changed over in the last hour or so, so maybe it will take a bit more time for the video to come up? I'll keep you posted.

The video should play now.
If you get audio but no video, try double-clicking on it to go to full screen; it should be fine. That's what it does on my crappy old laptop anyway!
Tom, the first clip worked for me... very cool eastern sounding jazz, I dug it. What ride cymbal did you use on this? Don't say "K Custom Medium Ride" [img]tongue.gif[/img]
In regards to the video it still does not play for me... it says "opening media" then "ready" then does nothing when I hit play again [img]frown.gif[/img]

[img]cool.gif[/img] The first ride you hear (behind the accordian solo) is a K Custom Flat ride. I have an 18" and a 20"; I think this one was the 20". The other...I really can't recall. Wicked, it worked... that was one of the best solos I've seen in a long time! I really liked your phrasing, technique and licks... reminded me of Dave DiCenso (hope you dig him!).
I have a question for you, how does the sabian hhx o-zone compare to the zildjian azuka?

Yeah, Chris, I've heard a lot about DiCenso and have heard some audio examples, but haven't really heard him let go. But, I do know how much everybody digs his playing, so thanks for the comparison!
The O-Zone and Azuka are both great. I love to use them in tandem; they really complement each other well. If you'll notice on the video, the Azuka is the one to the far left (and of course the O-Zone is to the far right), and it has a shorter, more staccato sound than the O-Zone. The O-Zone has an extremely dark tone like a typical China cymbal, but with a broader sustain like a crash cymbal. It makes a nice "double-crash", mixed in with another crash cymbal--really dark and organic! That's the sound I love to get from cymbals.

Do you have facilities to change the site or upload files quickly?
I know some friends with personal-bussines sites (made by web companies) that each time they want to change something of the site is a nightmare.
For that reason, a selfmade site is great.

To answer Juan's question, no, I didn't build the site myself. The father of my student, another HOD lurker, Ed Hermanek, built it, and anything I ask him to do, he gets on it really quickly. When I discovered the video didn't work yesterday, he fixed it in about 20 minutes. He rocks.
