THESE ARE CASSETTES, PEOPLE!!!! lmao
You see that Glamour Punks cassette? An original demo that be... I have it with huge thanks to Shigemi!! It is early stuff with Staci Chemical on bass, Mickey Lord on guitars and Fly T. Hooker on drums and of course Mandi on vocals.
Assuming it is the same cassette (I have an original demo and it is the same cover) the songs are:
Anti Social Child
Roach Motel
Will U Be My Mother
Hollywood Halocaust Babies
Punks Not Dead
Great demo!
Look at all my edites too! LOL! Because I forgot to mention some shit. Beer does that

I have that demo too...thanx to andii.
That's alot for cassettes, but if ya wanna be a sucker...be a sucker...haha. I hope the 3 cassettes come with a bucket of vaseline...LOL!!!
I actually expected that auction to go higher...original demo cassettes bring in good money.
Crazy!
Nope I wasnt the seller or the buyer, I was just watching the auction. I was more interested in the Mistreated than the other two.
<font size="4" face="Arial">You the seller? If so, congrats. Hope you're not the buyer, though. Bought that very glamour punks cassette (didn't know it was a tape when I bid) for about ten dollars.Quote:

LMAO - I remember those demos hehe... I also remember that Trash Cowboys pic as well. It was actually taken at the Stonehill Mansion in Pasadena. For those of you who were around back then, then you should know about that "house" and the various other QBP parties that were there as well. Man I miss those days :-(
I think the thing that IS cool about these are that they are cassettes...oldskool. cool.
Am I the only one who DOESN'T find this price crazy at all? We are talking about the original demos. Chances are that many of the CD-R boots floating around don't sounds as good as these do. Plus, they are the originals. To me, if you pride yourself on being a collector, a REAL collector, then this is the only true route to go with many of these things, and this price is fair.
I'VE "REMASTERED" THE 1/3 OF MY COLLECTION (MORE THAN 2000 ALBUMS/DEMOS FOR SURE I'M AGREE WITH MARC ABOUT BEING ABLE TO GET A BETTER QUALITY THAN AN ORIGINAL REMASTERING THE STUFF (OR AT LEAST MAKING IT SOUND IN THE WAY ONE PREFFER) BUT THE TRUE ABOUT THE MORE VALUE OF AN ORIGINAL TAPE IS ON CARL SIDE!!! CUZ I DON'T CARE ABOUT MONEY I GO WITH THE REMASTERING PREFERENCE!!!
BTW MARC I RECOMEND YA TO STOP REMASTERING!!! I STARTED WITH THOSE TWO AND NOW MANY YEARS LATER I'VE LOST THE 95 % OF MY BRAIN ITH A SCHYZOFRENIC MANIA/ADDICTION TO REMASTER EVERYTHING I GET!!! LMAO!!!
Too funny Marky - your as sane as the next guy mate. Only problem is the next guy is Raggz lol.
I agree with ya Marky on the fact that the remasters are good & i agree with Carl that theres something about having the original. As to prices & stuff well theres always gonna be someone who wants the stuff badly enough & is willing to pay the asking price. Me if I thing somethings too pricey I don't buy. Comes down to freedom of choice at the end of the day.
There's also a similar vinyl-esque warmess about
tape which is sometime lost during remastering/
recompression, etc. My boxes and boxes of tapes
are becoming a real burden nowadays (although
I worked it out: it would take something like 3
years, 24/7, to digitize everything to DVD), all
I would to them, providing they were being played
through decent speakers, is take out some hiss,
maybe boost the mid-frequencies a bit.
My Whitesnake '1984' tape still sounds fucking
marvellous.

So does my 1987.
Nah Carl...I do my CDR boots with great quality...after I mix them and bring up the volume with my new NERO software.
I remixed WIKKED GYPSY demo tunes and I have to admit..I did a damn swell job.
More demos to be mixed with better quality.
I even remixed Poison's LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN and Pretty Boy Floyd's LEATHER BOYZ WITH ELECTRIC TOYZ as well.

late man....should warned me earlier...I'm finding myself remastering(mixing for better quality) all the demos I have lately...LOL!!!
Oh yeh, '1987'. I've got '84 on the brain, mate.
D.
Darren, what have you done to your latest avatar?
Destructive editing.
