i was thinking the same thing. i would have thought we would have heard something by now. i hope its still on as its always a blast. if not ill have to make an appointment to go to the studio and harass steve anyways
I talked with him just yesterday, in fact, and mentioned the BBQ.
Okay, so he does have a lot on his plate right now (which does explain his waistline). He is taking next week off, and some more time off here and there during the summer, BUT he has to put up a new deck around the house. 1000 square feet of deck, in fact. And he wants to clean out the basement of a bunch of crap (Tony, you're on call, right?)
So the bottom line is, while he wants to have a BBQ, it ain't going to be for a few months yet. Unless you all want to start working on the deck.
You may now make jokes about how Steve has a small deck, and wants a bigger deck, and would like people to play with his deck... [img]wink.gif[/img]

I talked to StV briefly yesterday afternoon. I was supposed to call him back last night, but I got hung up with a long call with Loss Prevention on the phone and then Six Feet Under came on so I didn't have the time. ...yep, been as busy as a one arm paper hanger! Lots of cool stuff goin' on. Not much I can tell you though, sorry.
...lots of stuff going on in my life, as well. Doing some home improvements. Some inside, some out. The biggest project will be the front yard. I'm going to put a deck over as much of that pain in the ass hill I have in the front of the house as possible. I'm going to run the deck around the side of the house and make an exit through the living room onto the deck. Going to cover part of the deck and bla-bla-bla!

...there will be a BBQ.
...probably in August, not sure when.
...maybe even as late as Labor Day. It all depends on the money situation.
...last year we had over 100 people at the BBQ. With all that's going on, I don't think I'll be able to put on such an extravaganza this year. I've already planned on the number of people from work to be way down. So, we may have to do a lottery to keep this within my means. I'll know as we get closer as to how many people we can have.
...so, there it is. I wish I could invite every Spawn fan on the planet, but I can't. I'll do my best to have as many as possible, but the goal is for a smaller party this year.
...I'll let you know more as we get closer. Hopefully, I'll be around more now that summer is here. [img]wink.gif[/img]
