I'm not quite buying the six arms, cause isn't that more of a Hindu(?) kind of thing? It's going to be interesting to see how they worked those into the body though.

can't wait to get my hands on these two! they're different enough from the originals that it doesn't feel like more of the same..the paint schemes on both are really nice, mandy's pose and sculpt is awesome, and I love the six armed look for lotus.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">not entirely..the japanese god Aizen-Myoo had six arms that held weapons, so it's not unknown for there to be multi-armed dieties amongst other asian religions and mythologies. there are a few multi-armed gods and other figures in buddhism as well..particularly amongst the Bodhisattvas.Quote:

Tort's right, I remember seeing a lot of deities in Buddhism with multiple arms...
I think Prince Na Cha from Chinese mythology had 6 arms, gotta check that out...
Someone on the White Board posted a really well done piece about a deity that had six arms and three faces, so I'll take a wait and see approach to this one. I still think that if she only had two arms it would be one of the most beautiful female figs they've done.
I'll give them credit for doing something entirely different though.

I do agree that she is one of their most beautiful figures so far. Her face is really well sculpted. She'll probably become my favorite female figure by them (the title is currently being held by the original Valkerie figure).
My least favorite of the ones shown so far. The others... sheer beauty.

figure is a POS. im not into the six arms or the ugly colored painted on pants. they should have learned from the last one not to paint on ugly pants. i still have to get it though for the complete set [img]mad.gif[/img]

I think she has a vestigial 7th arm holding the cleaver-style sword.

I like it....that and Mandarin Spawn 2 are looking really good...
She's growing on me. I just really wish that McF could go back to making a mass market and 'adult' version of figures. Here's my logic; we and they know that thses aren't toys intended for kids. They're sculptures and generally adults buy sculptures. So why try and sanitize it down to make it kid safe? A sexy female figure just looks wrong when she's wearing something that really doesn't go with the pose or attitude the figure expresses. Zenobia was the prime example of this.
Lotus is beautiful and sexy, the tights even though they match the fabric on the arms just detract from the overall appearance of the figure to me.

I just looks like four more chances to break off an arm to me.
