I would like to introduce the newest addition to our family, my grandson Jacob. He was born on Saturday and weighing in at nine pounds two ounces...

Thanks you everyone for all your kind wishes, they are deeply appreciated.

His big brother Jimmy who is seven waited patiently with us until we could go for the first visit. It was so cute...I told Jimmy before he saw Jacob....when you see your baby brother, talk to him, he will know you. When we arrived at the hosptial, his dad sat him in the chair and placed Jacob in his arms....and he started talking....what should I say grandmom..tell him about the yard sale you went to..well he did and the baby just coooed and was very quiet like he knew his brother..Finally it was my turn...to cuddle and hold the baby, well he howled....Jimmy said give him to me...which I did and he started talking quietly to him and he quieted right down...lol
I just had to share that with you...

Oh how sweet--the story about Jimmy meeting Jacob and the picture. [img]graemlins/rainbow.gif[/img] I'm sure your older grandson will be a TERRIFIC big brother! DS was 4.5 when DD was born and he was just old enough to fully appreciate his role. He'd say, "Don't worry little Jillian, brother is coming."

Have fun with the new little addition and take lots of those gorgeous pictures!

what a gorgeous baby! and look at all of that hair. It's amazing how babies can recognize voices, sounds like your older grandson is going to be a great help to mom and dad. My daughter would tell everyone her brother was her baby and would get very mad whenever anyone else would hold him-including her gammy. 3 years later she wishes others would take him, oh well......lol
