I only bought three toys. The LDD Edward Scissorhands, a 12" soldier and one of The World's Best Robots. I also got a CD by a kickass Japanese band called DespairsRay.
But I had the best time of my life.

Awesome, great to hear you had a good time man. Take any pics?
Ha ! Last time I didn't even take a camera. This time I did and I took about ten pics. Most of them of Hermosa Beach. I figure next trip I'll actually take pictures. I'm kind of working my way up to them.
Oh, I also went to Disneyland. Now that's a good time.
must see pictures!!! glad you had a good time
...did you bring us back the hookers you promised?
dead hookers?
...is there any other kind...?
Was that Ashley Wood's robot? How does it look? Pics! Was there more than one? Did it come with a book? C'mon man! Pics!
Oh yeah, welcome back and stuff.
Pics will come later, though I don't have any good ones. Yep, it's the Ashley Woods' robot. They only made 100 of the one for sale at the Con. It's pretty big and it's damn heavy. I could have gotten it signed on Friday, but didn't feel like lugging it around to get scribbled on.
How much? Any idea of the actual retail cost?
The one I got, the camo version, was $100 at the Con. I don't know how much the other version is going to sell for. It's weird, I'm not that into robots, but this was one of the few toys I got excited about while I was there.
Damn! I knew they weren't gonna be cheap. Time to start saving my pennies!
sounds like ya had a blast!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The camo was limited to just 100 pieces. I was amazed that they still had some left on the last day.Quote:

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It was a freaking zoo this year. There was almost no point in trying to go into the exhibit hall on Saturday. I spent almost all of my time Saturday going to panels and watching previews of movies. Rob Zombie was pretty funny and 'The Devil's Rejects' looks like it's going to be pretty cool.Quote:

Saw previews for 'V', King Kong, Ghost Rider, The Fountain, Stealth, and Corpse Bride, Devil's Rejects. These 'panels' make the Con worth going to. Besides seeing stuff that's still in production and sometimes very raw, you get to see lots of hot movie stars.
There was a nice panel for Lost. Maggie Grace is smoking hot.
Sounds like you had a blast! welcome back!
I still haven't heard anythign about these hookers!
No pics...no trip
glad you had a great time!
How was Naz? Were you meeting there?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">She's excellent. I don't think I've ever had so much fun or had a week go by so fast.Quote:

Good times.
A couple of minor McF observations. They need to do a couple of things. One is, get a kick ass design for their booth. For some reason it was kind of lackluster and didn't have a lot of pop to it, which is too bad. One of the bigger buzz items was Corpse Bride and the figures looked great as did Wallace and Grommit, but they were just toys in a cabinet. A couple of other vendors had killer displays for both lines.
The other thing is, keep Larry Marder out of sight. That guy is like a black cloud over the procedings. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who didn't look more like he didn't want to be there. Without the energy that StV and Mr. Bozman bring to the booth it was a little disappointing.
A final note, Jon Goff is a very nice guy.
No articulation. He just stands there and looks totally badass. There's no book, but there was a little blurb about him.
You didn't make it to Tijuana Sculpey....or did you ?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thanks DionQuote:
If Dion can't hook you, I think I have one in the mound of paper products I brought back.
Thanks Sculpey
I sent an e-mail out to Dion - let's see how he does
Hey, sculp. Glad to hear you had a good time. Interesting impressions. Oddly, Larry is probably the most excited person in the entire office about the Con. Sorry I wasn't able to be there; the powers that be keep me away from crowds these days
And, once you get to know him, Goff's a jackass
d
Well just tell Larry to smile once in awhile It's odd, the two people I was with had the same thoughts about him.
Would've killed to have had the opportunity to go to that.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">yeah yeah yeah - let's get to the important info from you Dion.Quote:

Id there any way to grab any of the fliers that might have been left over they were handing out at the booth?
SWEEEEEET! Does this bot have any articulation? How about the book? Did it come with a book?
