No I hate wearing shoes...i own mostly flip flops...now socks are another matter I have a pair for every holiday...go figure!
Shoes are just something that go on my feet. I dont geet overjoyed in shopping for them but there is one pair of boots that I love wearing and they're my buff leather (Colorado brand) slouch boots. Comfortable as can be and very stylish.
I have had the same pair of shoes for about 3 years, Of course the hillbilly in me makes me kick them off the instant that I get home, and unless we are going somewhere (with gas at $2.38 its not often) like Church or shopping, my tootsies like to stay naked [img]wink.gif[/img]
We're still paying between $4.50 to $4.90 per gallon for fuel here and thats for diesel which is more expensive than unleaded petrol here. Unbelievable!!!!
Our 4x4 takes 33 gallons and it roughly costs us $160 to fill it and with my husband going back to work next week we're filling it weekly again.
WOW...I was bitching about paying 2.59..but everything is so far away where we live...Our Ford pickup has two tanks around 15 gallons each, and the Dodge durango (with Hemi) has a 30 gallon tank ...then there is the snapper riding lawn mower and the Kawasaki 360 ATV and all the other gas propelled things..I think I'll get a goat..
I hate shoe shopping. I like bare feet and prefer thongs like Rae. I especially hate wearing sandals when there is dew on the ground and then my feet get all wey between the toes. It literally causes me anger....but if barerfoot then the entire foot gets wet...not so bad.
I just paid $2.69 a gal. for gas!! It just keeps hiking up. Hopefully everyone will blame the Republicans and vote them out. *eg* Not likely but one can always hope.
I'm proud to say that as of this week, us Dutch have the most expensive petrol in the world.
No wait, that's not pride I'm feeling. It's anger! At the moment we pay ?1.30 a liter. That's almost $2 per liter. Since I don't know how much a gallon is exactly, I can't make that final calculation. But you get the idea.
Maybe we should have another war slash stick-up. Your gas or your life! LOL!

BTW, I made a little error. I was still living in 2003. It's ? 1.50 now a liter. Times 1.2 to convert to US dollar, so that comes to $1.80 a liter. There's 3.7 liters in a gallon, so the total gas price comes to... $6.66 a gallon. Wow. That number is quite suitable!
crap!!!....that is high....I can't just cycle to the store ..everything is sooo far away up here...100 miles round trip to Asheville to my Dr.and the shopping malls....14 miles round trip to the grocery store....think I start ordering on line......
BTW Robin hates shopping for shoes because she doesn't have to....LOL..I can have just so many and then they have to be thinned out..and she gets them....we wear the same size...
