Yesterday afternoon we filled up and gas was $2.69 a gallon, this morning we were running errands and saw all the stations in town were between $2.99 up to $3.02 by the interstate. thats just crazy.
I am on a (low) fixed income, I can't afford to spend $35-$40 per tank of gas. I guess I'll be sitting at home a lot in the near future.
-
same here Roger! yesterday it was $2.55 per
gallon and today it was $2.99!
-
it would take $103.95 to fill up my Bronco...that is more than the payments were on my first car in college.
thank god i have some Toyotas around here too...
{fiona need not comment as i know she is just itching to...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr}
i happen to like my trucks (kicks the dirt and switches sides of mouth the piece of hay is in)

when we filled up our grand am it was around 43.00 and now today it cost 60.00 outrages i must say
-
well dave, maybe it's time for that little subaru?
-
from what i have heard several states have no gas at all... LA, TN and a few others at least...
-
I think it's absolutely rediculous! Insane would
be another way to describe it. I almost died
when my brother called me this morning and told me
that the gas was at $1.19/litre, which would be
$4.76/gallon !!! This world of ours is falling
apart very quickly.

passed 4 stations with "PREMIUM ONLY" signs...
and fi dear, subaru is backwards for u r a bus...nope
one station here had a sign..."get it now...truck in tonight and 20 cent increase"...needless to say there were lines.
we still got it better then other countries though,

Every station in a 30 mile radius was out of gas this morning.I was able to find a tanker delivering some to a station about 15 minutes away. We sat there for a half hour waiting for the tanker to fill the tanks..2.95 a gallon an rising..some places were already at 3.05..People were going nuts trying to get to the pumps..filling up everything fillable. Its a nightmare out there!! I'm not sure but it seems someone said there is going to be a major gas shortage and to fill up as soon as possible..from the looks of it the entire state of NC was at the same pump as me!
-
gas here has went up 20 cents...so, its now 1.19 litre
-
90% of the pumps are now entirely closed here except for emergency vehicle use... gas prices are expected to raise to somewhere between $3.50 and $5.00 a gallon within the next 10 days...

time to buy a electric car

dave...ok ok a lil mazda then
you guys are getting up to european prices...where it has been US$5-6.5 a gallon for a while already
pretty scary given the number of gas guzzlers in the states and the need/choice to travel long distances by car
is the era of the big american car/truck/suv coming to an end? i realise many people have already made the choice to buy vehicles which burn less fuel....or hybrids....but nothing like other countries where the cars seem to be getting smaller and more fuel efficient, fast
time for me to head home....hails an LPG-powered taxi

Gas stations here are dropping fast, Only gas available is premium and to get it youll end up sitting in a line. The news reported of one gas station of haveing a line reach 4 miles up into the interstate all lined up on the side of the lanes, awaiting thier turn.
Last night a Farmer was waiting his turn at the pump, only four cars to go after sitting for 5 hours to get there and fill up all his tanks etc, when a lady made an attempt to cut in front of him, news said she was running out of gas and had her two small kids in the car was from outta town scared, crying that she would be stranded. The farmer out of frustration rammed the side of her car then exiting the truck with a shotgun in hand...
Now when ya pass the gas stations Cops are there with dogs making sure no one has fire arms, A double gas station near a mini airport, Cops are road blocking them giving them a "number" and has to park on airfields until a bright sign shows thier number. Riots broke out in "ghetto" part of town in pensacola when a white man after fueling his car as far as it will go, popped his trunk to fill up to gas containers, A man behind him useing racial prej, attempted to stop him, and needless to say cops doing thier jobs are "Crackers" now..
Oil rigs shutdown, Jobs shutting down, Trucklines shutting dowm, HUGE loss, so in truth the storm isnt over..

gas here in central Illinois, has climbed 80-90c in less than 3 days, We found a little mom & pop station still selling gas for 2.99 this morning so we filled up our car and have now parked it until we HAVE to go anywhere
-
I drive a minimum of 45 miles a day. That is to work, back and a trip to visit my Mom.
HOly moly.
-
I went out just a little while ago to rent Brady
some movies and the price of gas is now up to
$1.27/litre. I'm thinking I need to stay away
from my car for a while because I sure as hell can
not afford to be driving every where these days!

i know eh its getting ridiclous eh?...its time to take a bus everywhere now
