I would Call AG right now and since it was one of their labels they should replace lindsey - Since they have the heads. Even if it was only insured for the amount of a new doll. Insist that they give you a lindsey

If you used an AG label, I can only imagine that they will replace her for you. AG is fantastic about customer service. They will do all they can to help, I bet they will send you a new Lindsey.
I am sure you are completely heartbroken though - there is nothing like the old doll that has been with you through so much.

I am so sorry. So truly sorry. I know how much your Lindsey meant to you, and how much you wanted her to be just like she was. I know even a new Lindsey wouldn't be the same, but I'm sure you could grow to love her, too. Maybe UPS will find her. Don't give up hope! On the total up-side- maybe AG will give you a new Lindsey, then UPS will find yours, and AG will tell you just to keep the new one and the old one for your trouble. Then you'd have 2!

OMG!!!!! POOR Lindsey!!! Im sure if you called AG they would do whatever they could to help you... actually just this week I emailed them about Marisol's ballet tights I received that were snagged. They sent out a replacement but accidentally thought they were the "spotlight" tights, so they are sending me BOTH outfits and I am to send them back whatever is messed up....
They do go out of their way to help, which doesnt happen with most other companies! [img]smile.gif[/img]
Keep us posted. I bet they get you a new Lindsey!

I am so sorry to hear of this. I remember your post when you were sending her off and I could feel your pain. I am so hoping that you will get a call from UPS saying that they've found her. I agree with all the posts that recommend that you get in touch with AG, as I see you've already done.
I'll keep wishing and hoping that this resolves itself for the best!

Oh no!!!! Poor Lindsey out there lost and poor you! I really hope that AG is able to sort it out, because losing a doll that way is traumatizing to say the least! It's like one of your kids got lost in the mail, and that's scary!

You'll get her back! When you least expect it you'll get her returned from UPS. On the bright side, your little girl is taking a trip across America, a secret journey filled with adventure. She'll meet all different people along the way, have a lot of experiences, and when she does get home, she'll have a lot to tell you! Keep your chin up. Good things happen to good people!

Make sure to complain loudly to AG to replace her for you! ALL UPS packages are insured. It's AGs duty to spend that money to give you a new Lindsey!
Do keep up hope you'll see your Lindsey again too though! I had a package lost in the UPS system for almost a year and they had told me several times that it was "lost for good". Long story short, I got the package eventually.

It sounds very much like UPS and AG agree she is missing.The kind Lady on the phone told my hubby maybe we would get lucky and it would be a missed scan on the package.As in, maybe she is actually at the hospital, but just did not get scanned.It sounds unlikely, but I have to hope.
My UPS tracking page now list her status as "EXCEPTION" instead of "Out for Delivery". My poor little Lindsey.
I was not been able to speak to anyone at the actual Doll Hospital tonight, but I plan to try first thing in the morning.
I just have to find her.The UPS guy on the phone was nice, but to hear talk of a "6 day trace" and "claims" in reference to Lindsey is just not right.I just want HER back.My Lindsey. [img]frown.gif[/img] Words cannot describe how awful I feel that I ever mailed her away to begin with.
I will update as soon as I learn anything.Thank you all so much for your warm wishes.

I have had 2 packages miss the trace and they ended up in the right place just recently. I would still hold out hope that she will be found. I do think AG will take care of everything too. It won't be the same doll obviously, but at least you will have a Lindsey. It is good that AG sent you the label, so they can see everything you can about what happened. I'm sorry! I am SOOOOO sorry that happened! And to your Limited Edition Lindsey... but you know what, Luanne is right, keep your chin up! When I sent my Limited Edition 2003 Kailey out to the doll hospital in her original Box (which makes her worth even more $$$), they didn't send her back in it, even though I called them and wrote to them to. I had no hope they would ever find it. Just when I least expected it, the UPS gal left a doll sized box at the door! And not only did I get Kailey's original box back, but they were also kind enough to send me her retired accessories. It all worked out for me, and I know it will work out for you. Just don't lose hope!

Thank you all. I had a hard time sleeping last night.
Hubby called AG this morning again.They say they have the AG package tracking team on it.UPS says they have a trace out on it.Maybe oh maybe someone will find her.
Based on the UPS sight, she made it all the way to middleton before she went missing.Gosh I hope she is somewhere safe...

If she made it to Middleton, she is probably in the warehouse without a scan. Keep up hope! It would be really quite odd that she went a-missing last mile on her trip.
Once I special ordered a pendant that held a very special meaning for me. It had to go all the way from CA to MA, and somehow it fell of the truck (literally!) mid way. Well... somebody found the box on the road, called UPS and returned it to them! So I only got it a couple days late and in perfect shape!
Keep your fingers crossed and your hope up!

Thanks everyone. I am really counting on the package being in the warehouse-
But,
the way I understand it, if it was in the warehouse, it would mean:
#1. UPS forgot to scan it when it was delivered,
and
#2. AG forgot to check it in to the warehouse.
It is possible that I am not understanding this right, since my info comes from UPS and AG through my husband, but that is what it sounds like to me.
I really hope they find her safe and sound, and soon. [img]graemlins/wilted.gif[/img]
I told hubby if I ever get her back- I will not send her away again no matter what. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I dont usually trust UPS. If this will cheer you up, ill tell you a funny story about it.
2 weeks ago, One of my friends who is a year younger than me, and is VERY VERY hyper and has a VERY high voice, (yes, that has someting to do with the story.) Ordered something (i think it was a cell phone or sumthin like that.) Well, she is also EXTREEMELY outgoing, she waited on her poorch every single day that she could for the UPS man. She waited all week and he never came. UPS called her and said that her order was missing. She started SCREEMING on the phone to the people telling them that she was suing. It was soooo funny. Well, she still waited for the UPS mad to come and Last Thursday, He finnally arrived. He was walking reeeeealy slow and she got impaitiant. So she started chasing him down her driveway telling him if they ever lost anything ever again, she would take matters into her own hands. All this was happening while her Chiuwowwow (that is spelled VERY wrong) was nipping at the guys heels. It was the FUNNIEST thing I EVER saw!!!!!!!!
UPS also lost a projector that my mum ordered, they broke it while it was lost and mum MADE them pay us 300 dollars for it!!! I really dont like them.

Well, either AG is responsible, or UPS is responsible.. if she doesnt show up, I would think that ONE of the two is going to have to replace your doll. You very well may end up with a brand new Lindsey or even a few more goodies from AG from whomever here is responsible for being so careless. Sounds to me like it is both.. UPS for not scanning her when she was delivered and AG for not getting her 'registered' at where ever she WAS delivered. IF she is found, I would be expecing something from one or both of these companies for making you worried about such an expensive item!!

Also, if this makes you feel better, UPS is automatically insured for $100, I think. I'm not sure what their stance is on "actual replacement value," but as others have said, I would think that they will make it right if she never shows up.
