One of my favourite musical artists, Willie Dowling, has now got a site listing all the projects he has been involved in over the the years. It does fail to mention his early Glam band The Grip though. But a very talent bloke though, so go look HERE

It doesn't mention any of the bands he's been in, except Jackdaw4; it only mentions TV showshe's written music for. Oh, and one tiny line about Honeycrack.

It is more based towards promoting his TV work. And yes your right not much band stuff mentioned.

As the person that maintains the site for Willie, it is meant to be mostly about the TV work. It's kind of an online CV to attract future work.
Seems like he's doing well, I had the honour of supporting The Grip in my home town (Barnsley) at the Toby Jug, we expected lots of ego cos they were riding high at the time but they were a great bunch, good on him.
Yeah I got to know Willie quite well also, and my band got to support The Grip also. Met up with Willie last december in London at the Ginger gig and he stil remembered me.
Reading Tony Hawks' bestseller One Hit Wonderland at the moment. Willie is a good friend of Tonys, and as well as producing the album, Willie gets quite a few mentions in the book.
Sounds interesting. Wouldn't mind reading that. I'll check out our Library and see if they have it.

I always liked Willy. The Grip were a great live band, and from all the acts on the cicuit in the 80's, they always had the best sound live and on vinyl. I was once a "dancing nun" for the Grip at the Marquee, a dream fulfilled. I wonder if he remembers the time we went to host the Powerhour in Birmingham with Krusher driving,.... Jesus. .... Great to hear he's doing well.....

The first couple of reviews have come through for The Next Big Thing
They are from The Stage and The Evening Standard.
I believe there will also be a review in the next Time Out.
There is another press night this week... so hopefully more reviews soon
Finaly got down to the New Players Theatre last week to see this.
Having heard the tracks in the studio I had been concerned how they would link it all together. Actually it worked pretty well.
As a musical it is certainly more in the sphere of Rocky Horror Picture Show or Hewig and the Angry Inch than anything by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
