I love LA

Yes, we get great live shows here, and we are able to meet/befriend some of the greats. Today, I was eating lunch at Eclectic on Lankershim in North Hollywood, and who walks in? Ndugu Chancelor and Joe T. from Yamaha. Ndugu looks over at me, pauses, points, and says "hey!!!" I remind him when we met at the Steve Smith show at Catalina with the Vic Firth group and he says "oh yeah man! how are you?" What a wonderful, kind soul.

And I tell Joe I'm buds with Joe's Mechanic and he says "oh cool! Tell him I said 'hi'" So, "hi" from Joe T.

Somebody has to love this place! With the gas prices, taxes, and other high prices (DWP and Gas going up significantly again this year)...if you gots the $$ LA is a great place.

There's lots to love about LA, but lots to hate too. I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna split back to Toronto early next year.

Like Randy Newman says, "I love L.A.!!"

i miss being home from time to time, but the way i live, could not be achieved living there like i do here in Phx.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm here on a visa that limits what I can do (legally), so in order to take back control of a lot of things, I'm pretty sure that I'll be heading back to Toronto soon. Another reason is that housing is way overvalued right now and I'm sick and tired of living in an apartment. That's not to say that I won't return to LA (or the area) in the future, when these issues are resolved.

DSOP,. funny you mention visa and Canada, Marc Atkinson has a similar situation also being from your neck of the woods.
