A November To Remember

Anywho, it's about that time where we start to think about Turkeys and not just the ones we deal with on a day to day basis. You know what I mean [img]wink.gif[/img]
Yes, it's the month that includes the day when may of us give thanks and celebrate thanksgiving.
So let's start with the holidays.
The Big 3
Nov 8th is Election Day
Nov 11th is Veterans Day
Nov 24th is Thanksgiving

Once again, I'm just gonna do the big calender full of the daily observances

Now, since I mentioned Thanksgiving I guess it's ok to mention a few things that happen right around then (just for planning purposes of course [img]wink.gif[/img] )

The Train Display At Cinergy Downtown Opens Nov 25th and runs from 8-6 Mon-Sat and noon-5 on sundays

At the NKY Convention Center the Annual Holiday Market is Nov 11-13 from 10-5
Admission is $7, $3 for 13 and under

Holiday Fest at The Beach Waterpark opens Nov 25th admission is $8, kids 6-12 $6 call 389-4356 for more info

The Festival Of Lights Opens Nov 19th at the Cincinnati Zoo.
For those of you who didnt/couldnt make it to the zoo's birthday party (they gave out free passes for the festival of lights) you can still get a pretty good discount here ahead of time)

How funny. greg says this is a November to remember, and The Big Sexy cannot remember what he did this morning.

The Big Sexy is on vacation next week and will spend his time 1) doing homework, 2) sleeping late, 3) getting those darned windows reroped, 4) working on the room formerly known as the upstairs kitchen, 5) having work done on the car, 6) going to the gym, 7) going out for maybe more than a few drinks, 8) buying stuff, 9) etc, etc, etc.

Note that NONE of these things are on greg's list. What gives?

The Big Sexy just may take gae and trav up on the invite. The Big Sexy's family is celebrating Thanksgiving on Friday, leaving the actual holiday open for other festivities.

This may potentially work out great, as The Big Sexy would get two Thanksgiving dinners, keeping the "Big" in The Big Sexy.

Well, the list is merely an FYI of major things going on in the area. I try to keep the mundane/ho-hum/everyday things off of it.

Yes, everyone has their own little "to do lists" especially when it comes to housework and such.

This list is based on freetime fun stuff, finding things that can be done for cheap (if possible free) and things that can be done in a "family oriented" way.
Yes, I am single and have no kids, but I do still enjoy many of the holiday things on the list.

AS FOR YOUR VACATION, SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO BE DOING MORE WORK THAN WHEN YOU ARE WORKING LOL!

Carolers, rides, sterwheel boat rides, kids crafts and activities and more (yeah, Santa will be there)
Admission $5 adults, $3 kids)
