well, first, the mommy in me is forced to say, that you go to school to learn.

But, the part that clearly remembers being a teenager, gets it. It sucks to be that age. So many thoughts, confusions, angst, and mixed messages. Take heart in knowing that we've all been there, and it does get better after a while.

Let people think what they will (they are gonna anyway) and if they are worth your time and energy, and are real friends, then they will come to their senses sooner than later. Try not to get too wrapped up in other people's shit. It'll just drive ya crazy.

I know. I know. It sucks to be a teenager. I don't know why people tell you its the best time of your life. Personally, I though that was college, but that's just me.

This is all part of the path that get us to know what we look for in a friend and when we realize that its a lost cause. I used to tell myself that if it made a good story (because i was going to be a writer) or taught me a good lesson, that it had its purpose in life.

Just try not to get too wrapped up, for your own sanity.

the actual reason(s) you go to school is so that you can
inspire the other little heathens with
your superintelligence
and mad literary skillz.
what to speak of your mad mathematics skillz.

you also go to school, dearest, because how else
are you planning to get into that wonderful $40k/year
east coast university that you dream about ?

since we are unfortunately middle class people, we have no choice
but to insist and push you to be the best you can,
in all things education related.

furthermore, i'm spoiled.
your report cards have only consisted of 2 letters for so long,
that if a third one somehow makes it's way there,
