Girl

I've seen a few posts mentioning LA Guns but what about Girl. Got to be one of the best rock n roll glam bands ever. I know someone who saw them support Kiss, they did'nt disappoint! Got into them around 83 after picking up "Sheer Greed"(as well as the Dolls 1st album) at a market. I also thought Torme were great, I only really got any LA Guns stuff because Phil was involved.
If anyone has anything of intrest I would love to know.

Gotta agree with all of above apart from the fact I never got the chance to see them, but 1 of my all time fav bands

Gerry Laffey got up onstage with LA Guns recently. He's got less hair than Carl these days.

That's funny considering Cook used to slam bands such as Girl for having an image. That interview he and Jones did with Sounds in their "Professionals" era was a big overblown joke!

Anyone else notice that Cook resembles a badly aging queen? Not that Collen looks much better...

Steve Jones is a strange guy, He was an A&R rep, for Hollywood records in the early '90's, The only band that I know of that he signed, he chose because of Bribes that came in the form sexual favors, performed by the bands female fans.

I have a couple of Steve Jones albums. They weren't too bad. I think AxlRose and Ian asbury guested among orhers on one of the albums.

So whats new? A&R men and casting agents have been screwing thier aspiring wannbes since Adam.
IO could list you loads of people who put out to get a deal.
